I think your the only one , least that ive heard that can do his older stuff. Plus the old sho bud is what he used to record this music. And just owning these rare instruments is very cool. Awesome!
I see your finger picks are super low on your fingers compared to what I normally have them at. Is that technique or comfortability?
Great Sound.. Did You turn the heat off?
Great Job Sir!
Your tone reminds me of Pete Kleinow’s and I love it!
hot dog!
As a U-12 pedal steel player to another steeler , love ya brother! Great stuff, ain't enough like you around anymore! Most people would never believe how hard we work to be good at this instrument.

This is just so good
Fantastic man, so good!
It looks like your blocking with your picks ?
Pick blocking ?
Yes Sir!
ShoBud by Shot Jackson and Buddy Emmons.
I remember this one but I was expecting the 1 from the Johnny Bush record. That was on C6
@@dannymuhammad8321 I’m terrible C6 I’m trying to get better haha
Great job. Love LG’s playing. The Bud sounds really nice.
Loved hearing him playing that pedal steel guitar
woooow man!
The person who should get the credit here is the a person who originally recorded it.. Not the person who's copying it and playing along with it. By the way I saw Lloyd in the grocery store about 5 weeks ago.. I think he's 85 now.. We got to talk for about 2 or 3 minutes.. In fact it was the day 2 days before Memorial Day
That’s awesome man, I bet it’ was rad seeing him. Definitely not taking credit for Lloyd’s playing. Just trying to praise him for how it is to try to do what he did haha
I'm a huge Lloyd green fan, and I'll give you lots of credit for copying him. It's really hard stuff to copy. Great job!
Of course I like your playing but I hate it when somebody plays along with a record.. You're a big boy now do your own thing.. Copy if you need to but do it on your own terms you don't need to play along with somebody.. That just seems so strange to me.. To be fair I did that for years and years and then I decided to get off the training wheels
Man you are completely right. I love playing Lloyd stuff for what it is But I have been trying to become more musical lately I’m really wanting to take lessons again and do my own thing. I feel like I don’t know enough theory right now.
When you put up a video, playing old Lloyd green, this great. Then you can talk about training wheels. Until then, keep practicing.
Jeez, I have trouble trying to keep up with a flat pick. Outstanding.
Aww man too kind!! Appreciate it!
Sounding pretty good! I never get tired of watching you on that Steel! Keep up the great sounds
Ahh shucks man thank you!
Hey buddy haven't seen you in a while sounds great
Thanks Danny, it’s been a minute! I need to get a lesson from ya soon
Fantastic! More like this please!
That’s not Muskrat Jones, that’s the lovechild of Lloyd Green and Buddy Emmons time warping in from 1963! Sweet break there, Mr Jones. Tone, taste, timing, talent and tools.
This is the fucking nicest comment I have ever received wow I love you
@@bradyhenrie6426 Man, your videos just started showing up in my feed a couple of weeks ago and I’m loving them. I’m just a humble Tele player but I’ve listened to 1,000s of hours of good country music and, sir, you’ve got it. Your playing hints at who you’ve been listening to but you don’t sound like a copycat. Amazing tone and great touch. Keep it going!
@@Kan-o-tex man that means a shit tone Thank you so much dude Let’s pick sometime if you ever come through Tulsa!
@@bradyhenrie6426 Amen! I grew up in Oklahoma and miss it really bad sometimes. Last time we went to the Cain’s for Bob’s birthday bash we went by the cemetery and snapped a photo of his headstone for Find-a-grave. We also left him some Roi Tan cigars; I hope they got to him somehow. I’ll for sure come say hey if we ever get the chance to see you play live. All the best and thanks for the top-tier picking!
Amazing! Those tunes are so good.
Terrific, Muskrat! You're always an inspiration to me! I've just started on C6th!

Really beautifully played! You're an inspiration to me!
Man thank you a ton!!
Very nicely done, my friend! You're an inspiration to me!
You have put in your time. It's so cool to hear playing of this caliber in 2024. Thank you, Mr. Muskrat.
Beautiful man you made that emmons sing
Man thanks!! It’s a good damn guitar!
Sounds fantastic bro. I just cant seem to get that clean top end without it getting ultra bright and harsh sounding. Are you using any pedals or other effects?
My man! Just a volume pedal and tuner But I will say I have lighter would pickups and I’m playing a twin with jbls so the clean crips top end is easier w those things!! What amp you playing? And guitar?
You need lighter pick ups that's the only way you can do it.. That way you can get that very glassy sound
Nicely done ❤
Fuckin A dude you killin it!,,
Great stuff. I just got my first PSG last week, and your videos are really inspiring. Thanks for sharing.
Aww man glad to hear so! Thank you for sharing that!
