The creation of what I consider to be the most sculptural part of this Master's guitar. This is probably one of the parts I like most of the whole building process; the studies of sacred art I took here in Florence a couple of years ago allowed me to get close to the art of clay sculpture, and I still follow the same rules of line, shape and shadows whenever shaping something three dimensional.

amazing work, what is the tool for carving the bindings out called
In italian we call it "raschietto" or "truschino" but honestly I would have noooo idea what it's called in any other language, especially given that I'm not even sure the two names I gave for it are correct in my own language 😂
