The Internet is an ocean of data which is an advantage as well as a disadvantage. Pros are that the internet is free and accessible to everyone unless restricted by an organization or law. The Internet has all the information readily available for anyone to access. Cons are that the information is available that can be misused by someone with a malicious intent, or in the case of infosec researchers fixing holes. We as researchers need to know what network resources are available for assessments.

When Smart Medical Devices Become Our Worst Nightmare - Kaspersky SAS 2017

Stephen is coding his chair to become intelligent. He wants the chair to help him with daily tasks. The chair becomes so smart that it is able to upload him into the chair's MCU & turns evil. The chair begins to create malware that is able to infect other devices. The only thing the chair needs to complete this is Stephen's “master key” which he left with his assistant Lani. The chair is “hunti...

    *The ease of turning is great!✳✳>**share4.photo/GOwheelChair?ㅙ ** I used it in the house for a few weeks and took it out today for the first time to a restaurant and it was great! Easy to sit at a table, navigating a door by myself was challenging but I think it will improve over time.*

    Hello, is it possible to control wheelchair (Permobil F5) via PlayStation controller? How?

    • @stephenchavez3534
      @stephenchavez3534 5 лет назад

      Hi, this will work with any controller that implements the linux HID interface. So a PS controller will work, though I think in wired mode, wireless mode should work. You will need to pair it manually.

      Hey, sounds good. My idea was to control my F5 via PlayStation Controller but without any annoying cable on it. It would be much better without a Laptop, eventually 2 Raspberrys? The first for the OS, and the scnd one for the controller, or all in one? I mean: Connecting everything to the R Net Cable, and an immediately start with the controller. Automaticly. Without a laptop on my legs. I saw another comment, who asked for a Bluetooth variation? Its been 2 years scince this, have you doned this? Greetings from Germany

    Well, would be interesting to get self-driving wheelchairs then after 5G has been launched within safety parameters and road recognition added - maybe as Tesla Motors or any other car company for their self-driving car software to go OpenSource ;-)

    Hey Steven, I’d love to get this working with just the Pi talking directly to the Bluetooth controller. Would you be able to message back and forth about this? Maybe I could find $$ for you to write it.

    Hi I have a 2015/2016 Permobil F3 corpus with the R net controller module and I’m just wondering if this would be compatible on my wheelchair since the chair in this video shares the same type of controller module as I do. It does have a Bluetooth idevice to control my iPhone and iPad and also a Bluetooth module that controls my laptop and turns my controller into a computer mouse

    Thanks for this video! I have ALS and use an eye gaze Tobii Dynavox device to communicate and control many things. It would be nice to control the Permobil r-net power chair visually Using eye gaze. Everything is pretty much there. It would be nice to have a step by step procedure for us dummies! Where does the Raspberry get it's power? Do you know where to find good virtual joysticks for Windows? Any additional information would be appreciated! Thanks!

      Hi Charles, sorry for the late reply. The Raspberry Pi gets power directly by the chair's RNet cable. I don't know any good virtual joysticks for Windows. Maybe try Eviacam

    Hey! This is genius! Could you do the same with a wireless ring mouse like: www.easysmx.com/product-detail.asp?id=39 ? Do you have a list of hardware used uploaded somewhere? I'm trying to find what type of XLR cable output would work to control a chair. Also trying to find how to make a controller for: ruclips.net/video/iZYxJFROew8/видео.html . It also uses a powerchair joystick. I was thinking Arduino, [but maybe Raspberry would be more suited?] and posted my quandary here: forum.arduino.cc/index.php?topic=516975.0 I'd really appreciate if you have any thoughts! Good work!

    • @stephenchavez3534
      @stephenchavez3534 6 лет назад

      Thanks! Sorry for the late reply. RUclips isn't the best way to reach me. The hardware used is in the video and git repos. However if you mean the hardware that we used to reverse engineer the protocol, then that's a different story. We had access to a oscilloscope and logic analyzers at a hackerspace. I'm not sure what chair you have, but if it has r-net electronics then you can modify our code to work with that mouse! Goodluck!
