This is the first video in a series I will be doing on how I am developing my backhand (my lefty forehand) over time. In this video I am analyzing a set I played against my friend, Ravi. This is the second serious set I ever played with this racquet. I started using it about 6 months ago, but training seriously the past 2 months. Want to support Hartmann Tennis? God I hate those racquets. Such a dumb gimmick. Kudos to that guy for learning to play so well with it but that thing is stupid. Not practical on many shots - low forehand volleys, body serve returns, serving in general, volleying balls hit directly at you. The balance of it is also very strange.

    Is this guy an idiot. At any above average level you aren’t going to be able to swing volley with the pace it’s coming at you. Not to mention this guy looks like he has never played a competitive tennis match in his life Lmaoo horrible advice

    • @HartmannTennis
      @HartmannTennis Месяц назад

      @@VanHaycrafttd I agree some things are a scam, like grunting too loud when opponent is hitting, ect. But knowing when to move up and back in the court to strategically throw your opponent off guard is just veteran tennis, really. Plus being able to hit an aggressive return of serve far up in the court does take a lot of skill to pull off. Federer did an extreme example of this with his SABR move. And it's not something lower players might even be aware of!

    I love this swing on a lob, you can create so much top spin that the ball’s second bounce is really low and opponents can hardly return.

  • @tenniswithric
    @tenniswithric Год назад

    The words "beginner" and "strong" shouldn't be used in the same sentence anyway. Obviously continental grip is ideal, but for a lot of beginners they couldn't even get the toss right and the timing to hit the ball even with Eastern grip. So it's a progression and will take many reps before they feel confident enough to serve with continental.

    Wow those are good stretches! How long did it take you to do all those stretches in real time though? I guess a better question is how long to hold each stretch? Usually I don’t have a lot of time to stretch before a match 😢. I tend to just show up and start hitting. Lol

    • @HartmannTennis
      @HartmannTennis Год назад

      So actually prematch you don’t need to hold for long! I would hold for 3-5 sec, switch to the other side, then repeat, at least one more time. Running through head to toe pre-match, can complete quickly in about 2 to 3 minutes!
