      Thank you for the question! I am a huge fan of the King Alexander III - but the Glenmorangie Signet has a special quality to it that makes it hard for me to overlook (tiramisu). If price is one of the factors.... then I have seen the bottles for similar prices, I believe the Signet was about $60 cheaper - and for me it would be an easy choice if I factor in price. The presentation of the Signet bottle is also extremely attractive. If you need any more advice - let me know and I will be more than happy to help you out! How do you like the videos I have posted? Luckily I happen to have videos reviewing exactly what you are considering.

      Thank you for commenting and taking a look at all of my reviews! I'm putting in the work to contribute to our whiskey community. I of course will spend some time on watches and wines as well (this way we can all get some diversity) but whiskey has a special place in my heart. Covering a range in my opinion is very important, often times we can experience a singular expression from a producer and assume that is what they have to offer.... this is not the case. Covering as much of a range as I can really helps provide insights that may get missed otherwise. As for the pairings - this is my favorite part of enjoying whiskey and wines with friends/loved ones. They really get to see how complete an experience can be! Stay tuned, a lot more to come!

Also when you visit the channel you can see the individual reviews of each whiskey. Hoping to make this a little more clear as we produce more videos.

    I'm glad that you like the feedback, even if it seems a bit negative. I would be happy to recommend some whisky for you to try. They will all be high quality, craft presented whisky, and with that I mean that it will be atleast 46%abv, no chillfiltration and all natural colour, from the casks only (no E150a)...and with a fair price tag, atleast here on the Swedish market. In no particular order...and the price is in todays currency... Port Charlotte 10yo, Bruichladdich distillery, Islay, $79 Kilchoman Sanaig, Kilchoman distillery, Islay, $69 Deanston 12yo, Deanston distillery, Highland, $56 Edradour 12 Caledonia, Edradour distillery, $69 AD/, Ardnamurchan distillery, Highland, $68 Kilkerran 12yo, Glen Gyle distillery, Campbeltown, $68 Glen Garioch 12yo, Glen Garioch distillery, Highland, $61 Glenallachie 12yo, Glenallachie distillery, Speyside, $67 Craigellachie 13yo, Craigellachie distillery, Speyside, $60 Tobermory 12yo, Tobermory distillery, Islands, $63 Ledaig 10yo, Tobermory distillery, Islands, $56 Here's a little bit of everything, heavily peated, non peated, sherry matured, bourbon matured, sherry/bourbon matured and some with red wine maturation involved. A few tips...never judge a bottle by the neck pour, always pour the dram atleast 10-20 minutes before smelling and tasting (it needs to breath), try the dram neat at first, then try to ad some water (maybe 1-2ml at a time, in 2cl dram) and try to find your "sweet spot". The water almost always releases both smell and taste. And a small personal opinion, never ice in single malt whisky, it kills smell and taste. But on the other hand...one should have ones dram, as one wants... any way can be the right way to enjoy. It would be nice of you to give me some feedback if/when you try some of the suggestions above....your thoughts on smell and taste, and maybe the price tag on your market (the standard price, no discount price...its not relevant due to fixed prices here) Cheers

      Very nice write up for Watches Whiskeys Wines. Your list is very solid and I’ve tried most of what you suggest (Tobermory is now on my list to try - thanks!). For the USA Scotch varies greatly by State. I drink what I like and for example I do like Dalmore 14, and I can pick it up for around $80 when in Nevada which I consider reasonable. Last time I was in Florida it was $130 so I passed. Watches Whiskeys Wines you are very brave focusing on Dalmore as whisky nerds on social media slam it hard core. My whisky nerd friends give me sh*t over drinking any Dalmore, but I don’t care - I like it.

      If you watched the comparison - then I know you saw the visual comparison. You are spot on about the color. They are nearly identical in every expression, this certainly lends itself to the fact that they were colored.

  • @bluesmanen1
    @bluesmanen1 3 месяца назад

    It's always nice to see a review of a whisky, to see and hear another persons opinions. But in this case, and with Dalmore's core range in general...lets agree to disagree. Imho...This is really good example of an inferior product, and I will tell you my opinion on why..... To begin with, it's extremly overpriced, atleast on my market (Sweden) it's sek3100 ($300), I mean, it's a NAS whisky. It's diluted to a low %abv, and therfore stripped of smell and taste. It's chillfiltered, even more smell and taste is stripped out of it. The colour is fake, it's loads of E150a, not a beautiful natural colour, colour that comes from the casks only. To put this one in the same cathegory as Glenfiddich Gand Cru is quite fair, it's also an inferior, overpriced pruduct with bad specs. But the Glenmorangie Signet is atleast a craft presented whisky at 46%abv, no chillfiltration and natural colour...but still heavily overpriced, sorry to say. But in the end, it's just a matter of personal opinions on the matter of quality. P.S. It's a really great idea with the paring stuff. Cheers

    Nice. This one is quite ok, but not more. The package is nice, the bottle is beautiful....but the content could be so much better with higher abv, no chillfiltration and natural colour. Regarding the colour....it's E150a, not a natural colour, sorry to say. Four boxes to tick, to get a good whisky: 1. 46%abv, or higher 2. Non chill filtered 3. Age statement 4. Natural colour And I know it's all about personal opinions🌞🍷cheers

    Nice video. In the beginning of my time with whisky, about 20 years ago, Dalmore, especiall this one, was my favourite dram. But now, after all theese years and lots of different whiskies, I must say that that I never buy any Dalmore and that's because, in general with the core range, and imho..... it's heavily overpriced, low %abv, chillfiltered and fake coloured whisky...it could be so much better. It's such a pitty that Dalmore deliver thier whisky with really low specs, not craft presented, sorry to say. If one have the money for a bottle of any Dalmore....imho, there's so many better options with craft presented whisky. Cheers
