Retirement is a time of huge change. Many people have a very challenging time adjusting to leaving an active career or job and finding purpose at retirement. My husband left his career as a Mechanical Engineer and started cutting grass in Spring Summer and Fall at a Golf Course. I registered to be an Airbnb Host and love it. At 50 I returned to school and got a degree and became a counsellor. Pets and projects, like refinishing antiques has been my passion and many people travel or do mission trips. Then Mary and Joseph did come to an Inn and the Innkeeper offered them the stable, where Jesus was born and then the Angels appeared to the Shepherds. They were frightened but rejoicing in the announcement of Jesus birth.

Jesus was so gentle in his approach and took the time to explain what it truly meant to be great. Verse 37 really sums it all up " If anyone wants to be first, he must be the very last, and servant of all".
