The Pureland. Skin The Peeler.
During the 1980s-90s I played with a simply superb bunch of musicians called "Skin The Peeler". In 2022, despite living in different parts of the country, a few of us met up on line to work on some new music.
This Terry Barter (Mandocello) composition was engineered and produced without us actually meeting. All the files were sent to me and I put them together using PG Music's superb software.
On Cello is Rose Barter. On Mandolin is Mike Pryor, on Mando cello or octave mandolin is Terry Barter and I am playing electric and acoustic guitars and guitar synth (Roland GR55)

Probably one of my Desert Island Discs: The incredibly beautiful Donal Lunny Iris Air called "Declan". On this version the melody is being played on low whistle by my lifelong partner in musical crime, Rod Salter. What a musician. I am accompanying him on my Martin acoustic and a Roland GR55 synth. Crafter SA-ARW Demo

The Crafter SA-ARW is sometimes referred to as "The Poor Man's Taylor T5", but in my view it is a lot more than that. It is a superb guitar with its own particulate character which allows for a very wide range of playing styles and genres. I am selling this guitar on ebay, and this demo is both for prospective buyers and for others, interested in hearing this very well designed instrument.

I am selling this beautiful customised Ibanez guitar on eBay. It has the original pickups still fitted but it has been fitted with a new wiring loom (the same value as the original pots) plus a Fishman Powerbridge Acoustic Guitar Pickup and Powerchip which allows blending of both the electric and acoustic voices or sending them to different signal chains.

An Instrumental version of Cyndi Lauper's beautiful song "Time After Time". My Martin SC-13E also has a GK-3 Synth pickup on it; hence the gentle string pad behind the acoustic, from my Roland GR-55 synth. Thanks for watching.

A demo explaining some of the routing and musical possibilities with the Roland GR-55 Guitar Synth, via a Roland GK-3 pickup mounted on a Paul Read Smith Hollowbody II Piezo guitar.
I haven't heard of the power chip before, are you saying the it is how it is possible to blend the signal?
Did you sell the guitar and if you didn't what do you want for it?

Great demo. I would like to know how the Roland gk-3 is attached to your instrument. How do you change your strings ? The stoptail bridge on the PRS is threaded reverse, so Is the gk in the way ? I have a similar instrument but I am reluctant to install the gk.
Hi Jean-Pierre. Ah good questions, both of them . . . firstly changing strings; yes the pickup does get in the way a bit but it can be done, but what I do to save fiddling is that I raise the bridge/tailpiece enough to access the holes, and then screw it back down when the new stings are fitted. I use Elixirs that last for ages and I am not using a pick like a shovel so I don't breal strings on gigs . . . but if you are someone who does then yes, that could be a problem. Fitting without making holes in one's guitar: There is a very smart felt-backed clamp that comes with the pickup which allows the controller to be securely fixed with the help of the strap button. I put a slightly longer screw in as well. The actual pickup is simply stuck on with double sided tape. I have never had one fall off, but they are easy to remove when you want to, and do not harm the finish on your precious guitar.
