Idk why, but I love watching this over and over.

Fantastic film! Great writing, directing, casting and performances. Thank you to all who made this film possible. Without this film, the film industry would not have progressed in the way it did regarding representation. We still have a long way to go, but we are much better along than before.

There's a good chance the three feeble minded brothers come from eastern Kentucky; the most inbred piece of Dixie. Trouble is without sisters these guys are the end of the line for that "family".

Awesome film. Mankiewicz was one of the greatest directors. This film must have been seriously controversial when it came out as I can't imagine that it wasn't. Thought after the autopsy the film was just gonna end but had no idea the last act of this film was going to go that way. Incredible stuff. One of the best Drama films I've ever seen. Poitier and Widmark are amazing together. Can't imagine Widmark being too comfortable with his dialogue in this, must have been rough.

Ern, is the only "bird" that best fits Molly (maid's) question.

Merle Oberon was so beautiful and an amazing actress.

With Sidney ? Ok , let's do it.

Excellent movie all around, exposing racism for how ugly it is,

Richard Widmark was a fine actor. He could play the psychopath as equally as he could play a heroic character. If one has never seen "The Long Ships", in which Widmark plays a captain of a Viking ship and crew. Give it a watch. You will see an entirely different side of Widmark's acting skills. Incidentally, Sidney Poitier was in the "Long Ships" as well.
