It was hard for me to find a research topic because nothing any of the professors lectured on regarding their own research interested me, it was all the same, very humdrum and constantly revisited topics such as diabetes, mental illness, heart/organ disfunction etc…Basically topics that are already over saturated in the scientific community. I was interested in more niche topics such as low oxygen hemodynamic adaptation & cerebral metabolism. How trauma effects drug metabolism in extra-hepatic organs such as CNS acting medications. My mindset was geared towards government/defense research & military applications. I didn’t too much enjoy generic topics that are typically given to students to satisfy course requirements. I would recommend DARPA, US Army Research Lab or the Air Force Research Lab on Wright Patterson AFB, these are institutions that will push your existing knowledge to the most finite limits, and develop a the skillset you need more than the ones you want, they give individuals the experience they think of when conducting sensitive research. These are just a handful of labs that conduct novel research for the DoD.

This is a very misleading information. You say a mid-B average standing is the minumum requirement for consideration. That is completely false. Every year I have learned it is around A-A+ range. and anything below that is rejected. Shame on you for false advertising!
