@@bobv5806 to me this was when Led Zeppelin became way more than just a “rock band”.
Songs like this are the reason people still remember bands like Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd 50 years later. Thank you for the comment and if there’s another song you would like a lesson for leave it in the comments! Thank you and have a great day!
@@BecomeABetterGuitarPlayer1 When Phys Graph came out it was instantly my favorite Led Zep album, not only for the amazing variety and quality of the music, but it was a double album! @@BecomeABetterGuitarPlayer1 Definitely. You can see the progression from III through Houses that brought them to that place in their career. IMHO, nothing they did afterward compares.

Great lesson. With age and my hearing it was difficult to hear your change with the distortion. But hey sounded cool!!! I could see enough I believe I can play it!!! Of course with distortion!!!
@@kevinhowey4286 thank you for watching and for commenting. I’m always torn between using distortion or for that reason. The song uses distortion but on most of my videos I play with a real clean “twangy” sort of telecaster sound just so you can hear everything very clearly, which also highlights any mistakes I make. @@sofiaarango___ I love this song. Do you?
A minor pentatonics fits over the progression. Pentatonic meaning 5 notes instead of the 7 notes in the relative c major scale. Tip. Rub your finger tips on the back of your neck on your hair line. The natural oils will help you slide around the neck removing unwanted string sound. Great for playing lead guitar. Fast fret wipe neck with car shammy and follow up with hair oil. Top it off with a long screw on back plate that hangs off your belt. Now your rockin!
Thanks for the comment
It is bee minor.
Thanks
Hi. Isn't that a B minor?
@@m.a.p.4hp737 yes it is, when you put your second finger on the G string it becomes a minor chord. Thank you for commenting!
I really like to use a wax based treatment for the fingerboard. I know a lot of people say not to because they have problems with it building up dirt, but you're supposed to wipe the neck down after playing, and it's never been an issue for me. The wax fills the pores in the wood better, lasts longer, and stops acids from sweat from getting into the wood and degrading it. A high quality furniture polish is usually a mix of wax and mineral oil, goes on easily and doesn't causes a buildup. I don't see the point of the horrendously expensive fretboard oils that they want to sell you. It's usually just mineral oil. "Lemon oil" for wood treatment as far as I can work out is just mineral oil with a lemon scent added (it's not essential lemon oil as some would expect). You don't have to treat the fretboard every time you change the strings, but if the wood looks dry you definitely need to be doing it more often. About once per year put one drop of oil on the tuners. If the tuners are sealed you can put it on the peg and let it run down. If the tuners are too loose or too tight they probably need adjusting or cleaning and the best time to evaluate them is when the strings are off. Replace strings about every 40 hours of playing or more frequently if they show signs of wear. If you practice every day and gig several times per week, that might mean changing them weekly. Most people leave them way too long. Strings wear at the points they touch the frets and can lead to breakages or excessive wear on the frets themselves. I find a string winder really useful. It's faster and you can do a neater wrap. I've upgraded to an $8 battery screwdriver and a 3D printed boss. If you've got three or four instruments to service it makes things go a lot more smoothly. Always have a set of strings in your guitar case, but if playing at festivals I take a small toolbag with every string I own and the required tools. There's always some dumb bum there who breaks a string and didn't bring any spares and it's usually worth a few drinks or a meal to help them out. I've got all the strings: electric, acoustic, classical, baritone and tenor uke, and the few odd singles that you collect over time. Fiddle players are on their own (and they are sometimes the worst LOL). I really like the Ernie Ball packaging because it's fully sealed and keeps the strings fresh. It's way cheaper to buy online in bulk.
@@Chris_the_Muso thanks for the comment! So when I was growing up my father built high end sporting rifles for people with really fancy oiled stocks. Some of the most amazing wood you ever saw, and he was always oiling the wood so you could see all the patterns in the wood. Well I guess that just rubbed off on me because every time I change my strings, which is pretty often on my telecaster, I like to oil the neck down. I probably end up wiping most of it off but the hard finish is wore off in a lot of places so I just do it. Once again, thanks for the comment,it’s great to talk to other guitar players!
