Sounds like corrupt firmware on the usb Format the USB. Ensure its 16Gb or less and formatted as FAT32. Redownload the firmware and ensure the firmware is on the root of the usb e.g. don't put it in a folder and retry the view button with usb in

I'd recommend going to 4.02, 4.0 and 4.01 had some stability issues

It’s more than likely the image file isn’t formatted correctly - eg not 8 bit interlaced.

Choose image menu, choose mode, choose indexed colour. Choose 8 bit.

Tried having the firmware on root of usb with nothing else on drive, with console off, press and hold the view button next to the usb and powering up the console ?

Honestly, I shot the upgrade video and immediately shot the downgrade, then upgraded back to 4.0 again. didnt even play with it in between. with the x32 in the hands of so many people and some volunteer crew, figured it might come i handy for some one, somewhere, at some point in time, and might just give them an element of confidence to do it. Whats your thoughts on V4? the "modern" graphics are a bit sucky, and they make me wonder who "thomas" is. have you come across thomas yet?

Liam Somerville Thanks for your response. I like the new features... The new design is ok for me... My guitarplayers name is Thomas ...so :-) must be him :-) I experience a slower fader movement - The ratteling noise of linked faders is far better now - but its slower then the X32 [@Donovan].... maybe it will be better with the next update. Hey, Hope your well. I know your comment was a couple of months old now, but I've created a couple of new videos for firmware 4.02, custom boot /lock screens. there's another that covers using follow with x32-edit, so if you select a channel on the console, it follows on the computer too. May or may not be of use to you. H

Liam Somerville hey Thanks for sharing your videos ... I did also the update and it fixed the fader-speed and noise problem. Lots of new features:-) I like the new routing options a lot.... have a great sound and all the best :-)
