Yes I’ve had a few perch to low 2 lbs on jigs and soft baits on the rod can’t find a fault as yet although not had a monster fish as yet . My 5 to 18 gr version has landed a pike of 8 lb and some nice chub on a big river.

I use a shimano alderbaron 16 and a tenryu Rayz spectra 1-8 grm there are a lot of rods that will work but the better the reel the easier casting small lures and spinners are

Thanks for your kind words I feel that fishing clubs are missing the boat as far as attracting new people into fishing instead of sharing the joy they are scared of poachers and people taking fish and attracting pressure. The average age of members in angling clubs is very high and youngsters are far more likely to see a RUclips video and hook them than any other means. I think in the long term clubs will need to revisit there rules . People poaching causing problems will continue RUclips or not it’s a shame that decent people are being penalised because the low life

Lost my mum a couple of weeks back so not been out again as yet . Levels are lower so time to get the lures out . Although I’ve been reprimanded by a club for not following their rules my oversight.

Yes I land at least 2 to 3 times more fish than using treble or normal singles. Will be my first video next season

No I by them or get them on the lures they are called assist hooks from Ali express

That’s the assist feature allows hook to spin 360 and no pressure on hook pull braid is used around the spade end I put a little glue on as well

We have fished it about 6 times we have always caught but usually only one or two between us . I’ve had a couple of scraper doubles but nothing bigger . Not my favourite venue flood day filler

Back there soon I went last week as they were dredging the rest of the weeds so was a little frustrating after 40 min drive

i had a jack on miuras mouse, my mate had 6 on deads up to 15.9 so in all a nice day. on canal tho as rivers are 2 - 3 meters up

Thanks those hooks massively improved my hook up ratio . My trout river is great but the rest of our waters can be hard work I’d swap ginger fisherman’s rivers any day. No fish spotting on the river ribble no overhanging trees but you make the most of what you have available
