Nice video! But some facts from an insider of FLR airport. A320N aircrafts land into FLR in the 90% of cases and are increasingly used on this airport (by Aegean, Vueling from BCN, SAS ecc.), along with 737. Diverting only occur during certain winter periods, although increasingly fewer. Finally, the airport will soon be very expanded both in the terminal and in the length of the runway. There are some shorter runways where midsize jets regularly land: Kythira island (Greece) with 1461 meters and Chios island (Greece) with 1511 meters

There was almost zero chance AC orders the A350. They are so invested in the 787. Plus the new order for 787-10 was a no brainer if they don’t need the range.

AC has more Airbus aircraft on order than Boeing right now (A321XLR, A220). They have a 787-10 order from Boeing which looks to be a replacement for some of the ageing A330s. Otherwise there is no replacement plan for the 777-200LR/300ER. I don’t think the A350 is off the table quite yet.

Boeing has horrible safety records. Looks like Air Canada looking for cheap product and ignoring passenger safety. I hope other Airlines will pick-up roads where I am flying. Air Canada was always my last on the list.

Air Canada seems to have made the correct decision. Boeing took a lot of flak recent years not because they are much worse than the Europeans , but because their legal depart are less aggressive than the Europeans that will fight for their plane tooth and nail while Boeing acted like a large American company with deep pockets. I suspect Europeans deal with whistle blowers far more harshly than the more open American system. The Europeans also have more controls with their media. So many defects that they will cover up are exposed by the American press.

With Boings pathetic recent quality going down hill honestly I’m nervous flying Boeing planes. I prefer to fly Airbus any day.
