What monkey flung this channel, and where's the hot steamy puddings?
I've adopted a punk style of filming if there is such a thing and the channels hard to find . The filming itself is unplanned and real and it's always surprising when I get a view or two as the camera is the phone , always forget my hairy mic and i use the free version of vn editor , which takes me around 15 mins to cut and edit. RUclips randomly picks my thumbnails , apart from one , and I haven't got a tripod. That's probably why I haven't got many subscribers .
I certainly do hope I haven't offended anyone, and please enjoy the chaos .

bluebell trail
I was going to take my radio controlled car out for its maiden voyage , but no. After making myself laugh , I noticed I'd broken it , which is on the footage. without anything else to do thought I'd buzz Denise.

Birth of Molten Lava Banana

Highly experimental cooking with brother mark . ( he's not a monk, just my brother). This is footage of the first time Mark whipped out a camera and started to film. It's was mainly for Mother to see what her sons get up to in N. Devon with the possibility of starting a channel on youtube. I've just re- edited it , as nobody watched .

Clean, replace wick and fix leak on oil lantern
Thank u so much again. I'm going to buy the stuff soon. So does it really warm up a room? Do they sell the candles at Walmart? I'm going to share this video on FB
I've never been in Walmart, I'm in South West England near stonehenge . Bare in mind it's 3 candles. It doesn't produce monsters of heat , it just radiates it better and the fan won't give you hot air , like a hairdryer or anything. It's 3 candles. Some People think it heats a house , It doesn't. I'd try it before you get the fan and make an informed choice of whether you want to get the fan bit. Hope this has been helpful and glad you enjoyed the concept. There's loads of vids on youtube about these pot heaters so you don't have to take my word for it. Thanks and stay warm
@moltenlavabanana3276 yeah couldn't afford the fan anyway. Just heating up the small bedrooms. How long do those candles last anyway? That's a big pack of them, hopefully I can find a big pack like that.
I haven't found one video yet thats simple like this one. Where do u get the metal canister with holes?
Flower pot and saucer candles and the thing with holes in , which Is a cutlery holder for washing up is all from ikea. The 6 blade fan was Amazon . Hope that helps
Just used 3 upside tea lights candles sit the terracotta pot on them light 3 tea lights candles cover the hole on top and heat your hole house for less than £10 a week
I've got the fan one and two smaller , single candle pots , which do the job , when I'm home. They are great , whatever the design.
Fake fan don't do anything
If a stove fan works on a stove, it can work on a similar, hot surface. That was my thoughts anyway.
I have a stove fan like that and it doesn’t blow hot air. Do you know why?
It spins but it blows cold air
It moves air and I think that's the point . To circulate the air. It will never produce more heat than a candle , but its an efficient way to get the most out of it. Thanks for the comment ,hope you didn't think a whoosh of hot air was coming your way.
@@moltenlavabanana3276 that’s what stove fans are supposed to do
@@moltenlavabanana3276 it’s supposed to blow hot air but mine doesn’t lol
This is the best version I've seen! The fan is pure genius, one of those smack your forehead 'of course!' moments when you see it.
Thanks. It's an easy build as well.
Genius, thanks 😊
Glad you liked it. 👍
Thats a lovely handle. .
Thanks. Hope you enjoyed the video . I was working in Uffington wiltshire and got that piece of oak skirting ,out of the skip. Still have 3 ft left. A matching knife , possibly.
Its a bit flash , my blinghook
Looks like a Feuerhand lantern from Germany ? Very nice appearance maintaining that old look ! Bring the old girl back to life !!
Back to life and bent as buggery .
I love the patina on this one! Good job!
Thanks. It's just a shame , I never noticed how truly bent it is and my god its bent.
Nice chopper mate
Your not wrong there
Mine is leaking from the cap and I can’t find an o ring that will work, does anyone have any advice on fixing this?
You shall have to make some sort of gasket . Try cutting a circle out something like a cereal box. That sort of cardboard may do the job .
Nice, I found a Feuerhand super baby 175, still with the Jena glass in tact. someone placed on the curb as trash, was rusted and cleaned up nice with steel wool and a vinegar bath. The wicking mechanism sprocket is missing, so I had to tear the whole wick mechanism apart to put a new wick, which took longer than planned, but just fired it up for the first time and works great. I love storm lanterns, found a few collectables people had sitting in their attics or basements for free,
Nice when that happens. My mate bought one , rusty as anything. Filled it up and no leaks and everything worked. Happy for her, but it annoyed me. Big time. Thanks for taking a look .
I found my old Deitz lantern on the curb too. Perfectly intact, barely used, just a touch rusty inside. Makes you wonder how many of these beauties got destroyed because no one was there to rescue them from the curbside.
Dude that is a not so great idea. Neither Marine Weld nor superglue is rated for long term exposure to gasoline or fuel oil. There are specialty paints that are reasonably priced that are designed for this exact purpose...such as KBS Coatings 5200 Gold Standard Gas Tank Sealer.
Thanks for the information. I honestly bought it on a Thursday, done what I thought and could get hold of on Friday and made the video. Never seen oven cleaner used ,in this way before. Superglue cost £1 and the marine weld was the only product I found in an auto shop. Still going strong, though.
I'm sure there's better ways to do it, but that's what they had in shop in Devizes so that's the stuff I used. Make do and mend.
not too bad buddy seen worse
Really. I was gutted , especially when a big black cloud headed my way and the other mechanic voiced his disbelief. Driving it ,like I stole it , at the mo. It's like I'm young again.
fill u@@moltenlavabanana3276 fill up with the expensive desiel it got cleaning agents in the fuel
Thanks for the tip. I did put injector cleaner in fuel tank before, pre mot. Shall just have to rev it more in future. I honestly change up at 2.300 rpm.
I’ve just been given a lantern and after cleaning it all up and spraying it, it’s developed a leak….. I will try and do similar to what you have done and see how it goes? Great job, mate
Good luck, and hope it works for you
What the....is that a real washing "machine" from the past?
yep, way better than a washboard
@@moltenlavabanana3276 Pretty cool...whatever it takes to get clothes clean!
Could you put it in vinegar?
Sure, might help clean it up a bit more
👍
Loved the debate on the size of your holes 😂
That’s got to be the most honest and funniest Bushcraft Video I have seen ,😂well done
Glad you enjoyed it
You have got to be well chuffed with that, Taylor made to your design ,the hard work treating it ,really nice mate well done
Thanks 👍
Lol disregard my previous question on your mixture I seen you had done this video I guess I should have wasted it first! Great looking stuff I can’t wait to hear how it does!
We will find out when it has dried. Thanks for watching👍
Very nice! What was your mixture? I am wanting to do one my self! Your brother sent me your way to!
Sorry its metric. 2ltrs linseed oil, 450gms beeswax, 500gms iron oxide and around 150ml of white spirit as it was cooling. Didn`t want to use the white spirit but it has to be workable. Hope that helps. 👍
That’s a proper job, you could even sell them!👍
HaHa, I have a brother that might buy one😁
Very entertaining 😂 and really looking forward to part 2, wishing you best of luck with this project… BatW
Thanks👍
Oh, that’s a proper job! I like my old lanterns to look old! That’s very nice! Thanks for sharing!
Cheers Rob👍
Greetings from West Michigan, USA! Good job on the lantern. I've had good luck with oven cleaner, too. It will take off old paint. Pin holes are always a pain in the neck. Keep up the good videos.
Rganks Roger, will do👍
Very entertaining to watch, love the humour despite the November rains 😂👍
Thanks
I like the rustic look👍=⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thank you kind sir👍
You two crack me up 😂

Great video. I like the kerosene lanterns. I thought I heard an owl
Quite possibly
Very interesting video. I do wish you'd have spoken English so I could have understood what you were saying, but it was a good video.
Thanks for watching
Yeah that vietnamese language is hard to understand 🤣
Just 4 the record i understood ya
@Tom Catt Cheers Tom👍
Ya don't understand Portuguese mate?
How long did you leave the tank sealant to cure inside before adding fuel?
I left it 24hours, and it was fine, would say thats the minimum.
Similar story, Got given an old one a month ago. Cleaned it all up, lovely patina, lit the thing, worked fine then noticed the following morning all the fuels leaked out! -which is how I came across your video… Will try the epoxy for sure.
Does make you wonder how many get thrown out or kept as ornaments for leaking a little? 😀👍
Very cool! i use bedrolls all the time in fact have lots cool content on them and a series on my tube, you should stop by and check it out
Will take a look
You 2 crack me up with your camping goings on 😂😂😂
