How did you make the segmented conveyor move? Was it just with a transport suface and combined straight and circle motion type? I'm working on my thesis and have to develop something similar. Thanks in advance!
The conveyor is just a static chain. The front cylinder rotates, this drives the conveyor belt. When you start the simulation you can also see the conveyor belt "jerk" as it slips on the cylinder and gets up to speed.
@@slicedbread4910 Ohh okay, that makes sense. Thank you!
Most professional MCD video I've ever seen
it's amazing!99% like really physical world,i am so interesting on learn it, it's a mirror of real world, we can design machines use it
Sir how I can I learn this simulation process , could you please explain??
How was that segmented belt made? It looks like a pain to allign those manually for the initial state, not to mention mate them all correctly.
No, it is actually quite easy. Just make one segment and then use a linear pattern to make the straight sections and a circular pattern to make both ends. Just be careful to choose the right pattern parameters for the ends or it becomes a mess. Then connect everything using the chain option in MCD.
@@slicedbread4910 Would you like to make a video showing how you did it?
@@pontusbrandett6746 Sorry, I posted this video to show what we can do with MCD. I simply do not have the time to make educational videos. Hope you understand.
@@slicedbread4910 it was worth the question :) is it possible for you to share the MCD project,
Hello, this is a great MCD project. I am very enthusiastic. is there a possibility that you can share the MCD? I would like to have a look at it in detail. Would that be possible?
Thanks, if you contact me via the contact info on the website we'll see what we can do
