    The man kills the fox due to the bad dream. That's the nature of human fearing about unknown and horror things. This is similar to an old Chinese story that a man saved a tiger felt into the river, then the tiger just ate that man, and this is the nature of beast.

    Are you using an Nvidia graphics card? Why are you using FSR? That's probably what's messing you up cause DLSS is what you'd want and lower the settings from 66% to 58%. It makes a lot of difference with those 8%

    Also, thank you for keeping it on the original Chinese voices. I cannot stand the weird British-voiced cartoony sounding English dub. Bothers me. So many playing this are just too lazy to read subtitles even though there's not that much talking in the game. I guess easy for me to say since I can speak Chinese to some degree - but still.

    EDIT - no you didn't, you found out about the secret entrance - whew! You missed access to 4 of the game's secret bosses needed not only to platinum but to get some good weapons and stuff. When you fought the giant rat guy, the curved wall there - you're supposed to lure him to charge you, it cracks it, and you go in and get a loong scale, with which you can access the 4 dragons (chapter 1 area, waterfall, chapter 2, sand "waterfall", chapter 3, on the giant (spoiler) you ride in the snow area, chapter 4, at rest of the fallen loong in the underground spidery area (have to beat the first 3 to spawn him). BUT, you can still go get it. Use wandering wight to headbutt that wall in the middle, the crack will appear. There you are.There is NO way anyone would KNOW that - you'd have to accidentally do it or read about it, which is ...hmm.

    Tips to AVOID missing out on missables for Platinum trophy if you go for it (and also, tip to make SURE you get the good "true" ending and unlock the animated cutscene at the end: 1. Unllock EVERY hidden area in Chapter 1, 2, 4 and 5 (chapter 1 = ring 3 bells - you can travel back to those areas FYI, Chapter 2 = drunken boar quest to access, fight fuban, get vessel that will help hugely on the final ch 2 boss. Chapter 3 = Find the guy who is cold, talk to him. Find him again later, use ring of fire on him - he will tell you a hint. Find melon field area - you must drop off a cliff to get there. Do that fight. you MUST get all secret areas AND complete this quest to get the TRUE ending via the secret boss. The true ending can be accessed after chapter 5 by going BACK to the chapter 3 "Great Pagoda" shrine and through the painting IF you did all that - all secret areas unlocked AND the quest here (a fight at the melon field shrine at the end). If you do not do the secret ending FIRST, before the chapter 6 GAME ending fight, you will NOT in NG+ have access to all 6 relics (awesome abilities come with), and you won't really get the full picture of what the story is, charcter motivations, etc. You also will not get the animated cutscene and "music video" added when you beat chapter 6 UNLESS you beat this secret boss FIRST, THEN beat chapter 6. You can unlock some very cool stuff by beating both endings - hidden and regular - in that order- 3 times. Chapter 4 = Purple cloud mountain - you need to find Venom Daoist - a guy hidden in some webbing hanging from the ceiling where you have a bunch of spiders hanging - hit it until he comes out. BACK UP YOUR GAME - if on PC, you can go back with files - you need to equip a weak weapon for Venom Daoist and ONLY attack his back with light attacks - break off at least 4 of his arms - IF you fail to, he will not drop the armor piece that is 100% missable (so you miss out on a trophy) - beat him, and later whe you get outside in daylight, find him again - IF you accidentally run into the Hundred Eyed Daoist Master (final boss of chapter 4) PAUSE and QUIT GAME - you NEED to fight Venom Daoist a second time, go into Purple cloud mountain area, beat Scorpion lord, Daoist Mi AND Shadowveil - THEN you may beat the chapter boss. Chapter 5 = talk to the bull guy, kill all the carts. If you're r unning up the path toward the GIANT bull guy, that's the end boss - turn around after the big spike ball sequence and go BACK where it used to be on fire - now you will find the final cart and the bull king dying by it - beat the cart, get access, do secret area - make SURE you get the bull king's horn EVERY TIME from a chest in here - there's a highly limited amount and you'll have just enough to platinum in 2 playthroughs IF you get all of them before going into NG+. Side note - on each chapter up through 5, there's a horse guy you can find and talk to. IF You miss him on any one chapter and beat the chapter, you get locked out of his spirit in chapter 5. You MUST obtain ALL pills, ALL armor, ALL weapons, ALL magic, ALL spirits, and ALL journal entries, all curios (btw kill ALL the lantern headed tall guys in chapter 3 BEFORE you get to the top and DO NOT kill captain soul voice UNTIL YOU GET THEM ALL - there are 9 - or you miss out on a missable curio you get locked out of because you get it after 9 kills and they vanish when you kill Captain Soul Voice).

    FYI, for the end boss (sand rat guy) - make sure you get the secret area first in chapter 2 (drunken boar quest- you have to do the man-in-stone quest first, get sobering stone, etc) beat that secret boss - very useful item from that and gear unlocks. ALSO, you missed out on Chapter 1's secret area - I am not SURE but MAYBE you can still unllock that. The bell you missed is the Guangzhi one, by the big baby, right after you beat Guangzhi (fire guy). You WILL need that vessel for chapter 5 or you'll take damage every time you run over magma areas.

    I think our different combat approaches also make a difference - for instance, I have NEVER lost to the Black Bear Guai and you lost to it multiple times - while you got through whiteclad noble first time and MOST people, self included, take minimum of 3-5 times (I still think he's been nerfed in terms of aggression since release but other factors too may apply). So, my approach has always been smash staff, run and charge, come in for heavy attacks, dodge away, go in for another heavy - it may be the case that DOING that on whiteclad in particular triggers him to spam certain things and trying to run around keeping a distance is less effective on him because he likes to spam on you if you do - but MORE effective on Black Bear Guai because he has a lot of big AoE moves and sweeping moves you can get caught by if you stick close. Seems I just happened to have the right approach for HIM, because those heavy attacks stagger him and let you beat on him when he falls, and running lets him try and miss you, and since he's so big and it takes a long time to turn around when he misses, you get a lot of free shots on him. My view NOW affter beating every boss in the game 3x over is this: fast, spammy enemies that have arena-crossing fast attacks, you benefit more from taking the fight to them and staying in their face. Most BIG enemies with big movements, keeping distance and hitting them with fully charged heavies works better. This is probably why I beat the so-called "hardest" boss in the game first try (Erlang) - in that instance, first time through, I bum-rushed him and stayed in his face - on the SECOND playthrough it took TWO tries because I tried running / evading and charging that time but he spams too many arena-crossing distance attacks and jumps out of the way, goes into the air a lot, etc. Meanwhile the bum-rush approach doe NOT work as well on the final boss - because that is more about staying away from him and picking a moment to unleash a heavy as he does big, long-distance moves on you. In his case, he becomes MUCH more aggressive when you engage in close combat - so it's far better to stay away and pick your moments with him but less so with snake boy Orochimaru here.

    I cannot believe you beat Whiteclad noble on the first try but had so much trouble with the big baby - I THINK - not sure but it definitely looks like it - that they patched him to make him less insanely jumpy and aggressive since day 1. I fought him on release day and used meds and everything, did all the same things you did, and he was CONSTANTly spamming fast attacks and jumping away every time I tried to land any attack - it was absurd - I didn't even have a moment to use my gourd because he kept interrupting THAT, too. I just killed him again today on NG+++ and he after several playthroughs definitely hits harder and has a lot more HP but he FOR SURE is not going as crazy anymore as the first time through. Only thing I can think is one of the patches dialed down his spamming of non-stop attacks. I'm not imagining things either - he 100% was way more actively coming after me on release day. Anyway, great job regardless! Most people take 5 to 10 tries on him - some took a whole day. I HOPE they didn't actually nerf him but it 100% feels like it. I even equipped early game armour and staff and took off my sparks and yeah, he's still less spammy. He'd be doing the big arena-crossing moves every 5-10 seconds, if I charged up an attack he'd bounce away like a rubber ball - now he seems more sane - BEFORE, he was BY FAR the hardest thing i chapter 1.

  • @kalevipoeg6916
    @kalevipoeg6916 3 дня назад

    What you're meant to do to beat Wandering Wight: 1. Get a bit of levels - 10 is good, 12 -15 is best. Put sparks on: the one that lets you charge heavy attack while running (use this for t he rest of the game), simian agility, enhanced dodge, and on the right side maybe HP or stamina or a bit of both. As tip, you can respawn all normal enemies at will by resting at a shrine. Stamina management is HUGE especially in the first half when that yellow stamina meter runs out very fast - choose all + stamina options and stamina regen options. Mana and HP after, defense last.. 2. Go fight guangzhi (fire guy you beat) - get his summon - be sure to ring the bell by him - there are 3 in this chapter you need to ring before you complete it or you will regret it later. 3. Once you have Guangzhi, go fight Wandering Wight 4. Start when his back is turned - run up, charging an attack, hit him, and immediately immobilize him. Hit him as much and as fast as possible until that wears off. Be AGGRESSIVE - that's the key here. Your combo finishers STAGGER him, makes him fall over - you can basically make him fall more than once. After he's gotten back up again after this flurry, IMMEDIATELY go into Guangzhi - and keep spamming light attack combos, not heavy (eats up might meter, you de-transform faster) - this will build up burning status on him and can cause him to cringe and stagger more. As soon as immobilize is ready again, use it, and beat him down, continuing the assault and trying to get off the second light attack combo finisher before he does another big move - this knocks him down again. Dodge as needed, roll to the side if he's gearing up to do his big push wave thing - you DO have directional rolling - but by this point he should be very close to death and you should have multiple drinks left. Stamina and a bit of HP, guangzhi and immobilize go a long way. ALSO, DO NOT ring all three bells until AFTER you beat Wandering Wight. His spirit - you equip it - is one of the best in the entire game and you can basically use it all to the end. Hits hard (need to be point blank close so immobilize, get in their face, THEN use him), gives you +30 defense passively when upgraded. IF you rinng the 3 bells first, the MOMENT you ring the third bell, Wandering Wight despawns permanently and you miss out on his spirit.

  • @kalevipoeg6916
    @kalevipoeg6916 3 дня назад

    A tip - when you transform, avoid the big heavy attacks and do light attack spam while dodging - this is because the big attacks quickly suck up your "might" which is basically the "MP" meter for how long you can be transformed. You can extend t his a bit with sparks but not too much -so it's more effective in my experience to keep hitting them and dodging - I get more damage that way before I de-transform while if I use the big moves, you run out of might SO fast.

    I feel like up throough the snake guy is a big tutorial, honestly - this whole chapter is - big blue baby (wandering wight) is there to be the first skill check, to teach the player that bosses have telegraaphs to learn and avoid and that bosses are a *ton* tougher than regular enemies. guangzhi is there to teach the player about transformations. Elder jinchi is there to teach the player that every chapter (apart from 3 and 6) has a secret boss that gives you something to help beat the chapter's final boss (e.g. something to ward off fire) - and so is Guangzhi (fire guy you fought) - who is also meant to be used against Wandering Wight as a way of beating him. The SNAKE guy is the first bigger skill check and an introduction to the concept that some bosses can be...different, and in a way that increases the challenge - I won't mention why he's different so as not to spoil it. Also, you CAN get a longer invincibility duration during a dodge later, but you have to unlock it. There's a couple methods of increasing that window - though I've never noticed if it actually makes a difference. One thing I will say - make use of meds, but early on save the damage reduction medicine for things you've failed at multiple times already. It's only like 10% reduction but it helps a bit. Defense in this game does NOT reduce much damage. To give you an idea, I had one enemy hit me repeatedly for 45 to 46 damage, then I increased my defense by about 90 - and the damage went down to...43. So it takes massive amounts of defense to mitigate much damage. I have over 700 defense in my NG+ build and the last bosses can still dish out quite a lot of damage and I don't notice much difference over the 500ish defense build I used before that in terms of how much my health bar goes down. It helps, but...not much.45 to 43 damage with an increase of 90 defense is about maybe 5 damage per 100 defense against a hit that would do light damage (say, 50 to 70) or with my 700 defense build, 35 damage off of that same hit - about halving it - and about 70 damage for a hit that would have done 100 - so maybe a in all for BIG hits, (hundreds of damage) a 30%ish reduction if you really stack the crap out of it. Not enough to be that game changing. Still have to dodge. A hit that would do 600 might do 400 something, I guess, with my setup. Still a hard hit, but a bit better. But again in NG+ past NG+3, you kind of get into a place where you have EVERYTHING - best armor, highest defense, etc - and the bosses hit harder - so defense is basically worthless on higher numbers of NG+. I wish they'd give us some "ultimate" armour that has a flat % reduction like 50% damage reduction - that would remain viable no matter how hard they hit (though even then, if in theory they keep hitting harder and having more HP into NG+20, NG+25, even a 50% reduction would still be insta-death). I think it's MEANT to be harder every time on purpose as a way of saying "if you choose to fight your fate and reject divinity, and continue on with another cycle, so be it, but you shall be tested more each time" - the point at which you give up and can't go through another cycle is the point at which you accept the full mantle - mind, spirit and all - of Sun Wukong and *truly* become him, born anew.

  • @kalevipoeg6916
    @kalevipoeg6916 4 дня назад

    You get more control over more specific movements as you unlock them - including an extended, more agile initial dodge, FYI. Just so you know, the big baby is by far one of the weakest bosses in the game - you'll get acquainted with learning through repeated deaths with future bosses, but they're all well-designed fights where it's hard, but once you know the move sets it's kind of your own fault and not the game's if you die. Some games it's just stupidly, unfairly cheap with some bosses - the ISSUE I have with some fights is that the telegraphs are a lot harder to pin down in terms of when exactly to begin a dodge - it's ambiguous - very unlike the big blue boy here who has VERY big, obvious, hold-your-hand telegraphs once you know what they ARE signalling he's about to do - but others, you're sort of waiting for a flash of red light and have to figure out if it's IMMEDIATE dodge or wait half a second dodge - and it all happens when you're just coming out of a roll from havinng a crapload of attacks flying across the ring at you. FYI also, this game gets harder every playthrough - as in every enemy gets more HP, possibly higher stats, and does more damage to you. NG+ is fine - but by NG+++ and beyond it starts to get punishing for sure and soon after you can get one-shotted without perfect dodging everyhing even by some NORMAl enemies. Saw one guy on NG+9 and the last boss was one-shotting him from full HP over and over, or two normal, light hits - and that boss has relentless attacks that can cross the arena. SO, if you make it to the end and you think it's not that hard, THAT's a way to make it almost IMPOSSIBLE - just keep beating it and sooner or later, it gets to be where you have to perfectly dodge *everything* or die instantly. If you run into t he "this boss is so easy bro, beat him first try, get good" guys - just know that this game can be made as hard as you need it to be to kick your @ss no matter HOW good you are. :) Ultimate replay value for the challenge junkies! Get to NG+10 and beat THAT - won't be easy, promise you that!
