Only other sensor dealing with the engine coolant temperture I know of is the sensor located down on the block below the alternator is the actual guage sensor.

That Ariens is awesome! It runs, it cuts, it pulls itself. Absoulutely nothing wrong with it. I can't get over getting that at the scrapyard. I mowed a property with it this morning and it payed for itself and the other one...LOL Yeah that one stays with me. Cheers Bernie! 🍻 Thanks for coming by!

@@bigalsmallengines yeah you lucked out for sure! I’ve yet to get a mower with paper work. I was once told that ariens was something to do with snapper. They are very similar with the disk drive. And a very well built mower. Many people bash tecumseh. But as you said. They are one heck of an engine. If it ever fails, that mower needs an intek lol. Great to see you are a VGG fan to. @@dirtyberniesgarage1194 That Tecumseh even with it's age still has good power. I was mowing 5" grass with it, and went right through it with the drive enguaged. It makes a pretty cut also. I'm truly blown away by this mower. I know nothing about an Ariens Bernie, I got this mower out of sheer curiosity. I've never had or worked on anything Ariens. Everything is beefed up on this unit, I'd say professional quality. I think they are largely sold and serviced at Airens dealers and there are none around here I know of. Maybe why I never see them or have serviced one before. An Intek would certainly be the replacement, something else I never see around here...LOL Yeah VGG, makes me want to go find a car and drive it home from 600 miles away....LOL Cheers to you Bernie! 🍻

On top with the spring is the correct way. I've accidently installed mine upside down and it still seems to enguage. But the spring sits on top in the owner's manual. Best of luck to you. 🍻

If it doesn't make it length wise, you may have to adjust the nut at the top of the rod. That can get out of adjustment if it is loose or missing the lock nut. Check that.

I ordered a drive belt because I was told, I could use a new one, and the one under the black cover is almost torn in two. I just want to make sure I don't order the wrong one! Finally, I have a 50 inch zero turn that was bought in 2017 made by Troy bilt, when I try to find parts, some list, no longer available. What do I do for parts? It was severely neglected by my ex and I'm trying to bring her back to life and learn to manage my own equipment in the process.

@@sunshinemommyb30 👌Yeah the cost of the blades are not good, but they are all that work and there are no knockoffs. If you tried different blades, the deck would not cut right. The secondary or timing belt is under the deck shroud. There are two different ones depending on the serial # of your LT 155. Timing Belt Numbers: LT155-Unit Serial #'s below 125,001 OEM#M127926 If your serial # is above these on either model, your OEM timing belt is #M150717. Find that number on the back of the tractor frame on a tag. Make sure you get the right one, the size changed during production of these decks. Manufactures are quick now to discontinue parts to keep people buying lawnmowers. Best thing you can do is take the OEM number of the part and put it in Google and see if anyone is selling an aftermarket or some dealer may have the part on a shelf. There are a lot of junkyard dealers on E-bay that sell used parts as well as a last option. Sometimes I run into stuff I just can't get parts for anymore, and if you do find it, they want a lot of money for it because they know the part is unobtainable or discontinued. Good luck to you! 🔧

Most carburetor kits you can get at a local dealer that day you need it for around $10. Otherwise you can order a new OEM Carb for $40-60, or a knockoff, as in this case, and wait up to 7 days for a new one. If need something now, it is worth a shot sometimes. Cheers! 🍻

Should fit back in place-make sure you got it turned the right way. Don't tighten down all the screws till they are all are in. Hope that helps you. 🍻

Either you got the belt routed incorrectly or make sure you got the belt within those guides around the engine pulley. Check those two things first. The belt may be the wrong size? It should be loose around the engine pulley till you enguage the deck.

Local tractor repair man told me I need authentic murry oem belt. Can you tell me where to order that? I had bought a belt correct size at hardware store. I see them on Amazon but are these authentic?

My tractor model # is without the a 425001x8

​@@cindynapoli7530 Repair clinic dot com has the Genuine OEM part #37X88MA. Their # for the part is 1668656. It is around $35 usd. Don't know why yours don't have the "A" Prefix in the number. Mine is referred to on the tractor and my owner's manual with that prefix. Maybe it has to do with where it was sold? Would not think that would make a belt size difference though. Cheers! 😃🍻

That's great Andy! Other than the IAC, mine has been doing well. Usually in very hot weather it runs kinda ruff, and we've had 96-98 degree days. It has been smooth with no starting problems. The wiring harness was definately my biggest issue when I got mine. Thankfully I got all of that figured out over time. Cheers to you buddy! 🍻

The earlier ones have a different timing belt size is all I am aware of. Otherwise the design is true for all of them I think. It enguages with that rod and not a cable. As long as the enguagement works.

The original gas in the tank was old. I purged that, but the carburetor needs a rebuild and clean out. I am currently working on the video for that. In the end I think it will work out to be a great mower for many more years to come. It only has 179 hours on it. Thanks for watching, I appreciate it. 😎

This sensor has nothing to do with your temperture guage. It is a sensor for the ECM to monitor the engine's coolant temperture. If it is defective, it may be telling the ECM wrong info, thus changing the way it manages the engine run. A code 22 will tell you to check it. IF your guage don't work, it is either the sensor for that guage, wiring problem or the guage itself.

You can use needle nose pliers and get on the clip of the cable and release it.

Yeah I still haven't done a proper tune up for this old girl. I'm still trying to decide if I want to do anything else with it or pass it on. Cheers! 🍻

No that has nothing to do with it. Either you have a defective fuel guage or the fuel pump has a defective float or sensor.

i just changed my whole fuel pump with bosh in my 93 dakota and it fixed the gauge.

I don't have a video about that yet. You must have adjusted something too much if the deck won't lock. You may have to back off that adjustment until it will lock again if that is the case. ??? Not sure what you done there. The owner's manual will take you through adjusting the deck, if you don't have one, you can find it on John Deere's website. Thanks and cheers! 🍻

Yeah I've been doing a much better job keeping on top of that. Especially on these decks because they are a thin stamp. They will rust quickly and you will be patching holes. They are great tractors for homeowners if you find one in good shape. Generally easy to work on and get parts for. I have the 38" and 42" version of these machines and they do great for me.
