There should be difference between the sounds of Calliope, Nebelwerfer and the Russian Katyusha. But The Snail said nope, one sound for all.

Why does it sound like they used the nebelwerfer sound for the calliope in war thunder?

We will never know the true sounds, the one in war thuder is probably the closest we will get to actually hearing it. This is due to the audio quality
