I created this channel to document my journey with my first cruiser type motorcycle the Indian Scout Bobber. The videos will consist of me reviewing and installing parts plus motovlogs of some interesting places i visit. I'm hoping this channel will help others who own the Indian Scout Bobber or any other type of bike. Either way come along with me for the ride and keep safe out there.

I install the S&S Air cleaner for my Indian Scout Bobber Twenty. The install took me about 30 minutes to complete. Definitely noticed a performance improvement after installing the air cleaner in addition to tuning with the Power Vision 3. I install the Kuryakyn Kinetic grips for the Indian Scout Bobber ( Scout Bobber Twenty ). Some modification to the grips were required but all in all not a bad install. My Scout Bobber looks pretty good with them on! Either way if you have any questions or comments feel free to ask and if you like the video hit that subscribe button. Indian Comfort Seat Review For The Scout Bobber
Просмотров 16 тыс.4 года назад
In this video i review the Indian Comfort Seat for the Scout Bobber and Scout Bobber Twenty motorcycle. It was time for an upgrade since the stock seat was extremely uncomfortable and i must say the Comfort Seat surpassed my expectations. (My first youtube video!) Link to Comfort Seat - www.indianmotorcycle.com/en-us/shop/accessories/other-ways-to-shop/authentic-accessory-portfolio/scout-bobber...
This is a great saddle, I just wish they had designed it to have a little spring action.
Thanks for posting - used this vid to install my 1920 solo today. Appreciate it!
Can’t believe this video doesn’t have more views and likes. Well done. I’m installing this and a PV3. Not looking forward to it. These videos always make it seems so much easier haha
This will suck if need to jump the battery
Totally cool Bro that looks so awesome
SWEET!
Excellent video! I agree 100%. I sat on the OEM seat for 20 minutes while talking to the salesman, and my butt was getting sore from just that. I bought the comfort seat before purchasing the bike, and it was one of the best moves I ever made.
I do like the look of the solo saddle seat…. My bike came with it but I have the default stock black seat…. I just wish the saddle seat had springs because it is a rough freaking ride…. Beautiful seat. Makes the bike look great but it is not comfortable to ride.
Great comparison. Was there any difference with ride height of comfort seat compared to factory seat? Thank you.
Thanks for this video
How tall are you???
Hey was wondering if you got a new exhaust? If you have I would like to buy these
Thanks for this video, I just installed my 1920 solo seat, thanks to you. I'll say--the electrical wiring is really tight against the bracket closest to the fender. It was brutal getting that single center screw in against the wiring, and then torquing it to spec. I actually set off a spark or two pulling my torque wrench off the screw once it was tight. Think this will cause any issues down the line?
Great video, but the music got on my nerve.. I was a about to smash my phone ! Thanks
Looks even better with the Indian grabber bar
Thank you, really appreciate. I am going to get the comfort seat now.
Like your videos. They are spot on with their content.
Lose the music and specify which bolt goes where next time, please. I got a 1920 saddle without instructions and had to resort to this. Thank you, though.
Thank you so much for this review. It really answered so many questions I had. You haven't posted in a year so I hope you're ok.
Thanks for the video. What do you recommend to lift the bike before taking those frame rods out?
I just used a $70 motorcycle jack from Amazon to be able to lift it up. Bolts easily came out.
They look great, but are they comfy?
How can i get all black seat? I couldnt find the black one for my bobber sixty. Please share the link if anyone can. Thanks
great vid really appreciate showing the riding position
Amazing
So for longer trips it's still not comfortable?
Its a little better than stock seat but still a pain for longer rides. You're going to feel any ride longer than an hour.
Just got this plus the chrome solo saddle grab rail ,the chrome rail really finished the look
nice bobber love that twenty
Thanks! What do you ride?
@@cmosadvantage5903 I had a honda VTX but got rid of it I'm looking into a twenty or the chief
Just ordered the chrome grab bar for this before watching your vid , you solo saddle looks a different color then my stock seat color , it looks like a more chocolate brown them my original tan brown, true or just the camera?
My seat came with the scout bobber twenty bike and yeah its a different color (maybe since I bought the twenty?). Looks like they only sell dessert tan and black.
What Mic do you use for your indoor recording?
I use the Sony ecm-cs3 with tascam dr-05x recorder
Anyone fitted quiet baffles in these slip-ons and is willing to pass on some advice?
My muffler is on so tight I literally can not get it off
It does take a little bit of patients and strength. I was able to wiggle mine off after 30 plust minutes of pulling and wiggling.
My shit is on so damn tight I can’t get it off
they look good
It seems that our experience was somewhat the same, but with a different solution. After reading the many reviews for the Indian Scout Bobber, I bought the “comfort seat” the day I purchased the bike. So I had no reference for the stock seat, until I later switched them out for comparison. My goodness, that stock seat could double as a medieval torture device. It was awful in every way, but the $250 comfort seat was only moderately better. After 30 minutes the stock seat was killing me. But it only took 45-50 minutes for the comfort seat to bring on almost the same level of pain. After watching and reading many reviews, I bit the bullet and ordered a Corbin. I loved that I could order the color and stitching I wanted, but I was really looking for ALL DAY comfort. I must say that I feel like I actually got my money’s worth. Indian should run over to Holister, California and watch the way these seats are designed and constructed. They’re actually shaped to mirror the shape of a human’s butt, with quality thru and thru. It literally transformed my bike. I sold the “comfort seat” online for $100 bucks to a guy who was hoping it would release him from the agony of that stock painful joke of a seat. I wished him luck.
Yeah cant ride on the comfort seat for more than an hour. How much longer can you ride with the corbin seat? I ended up keeping my bobber as a secondary bike and bought the darkhorse for longer rides
@@cmosadvantage5903 I can ride for hours on the Corbin, but you may have solved the issue with a bike better suited for long rides. I’ve got my eye on a Springfield Dark Horse in that beautiful olive matte paint.
Indian knew what they were doing when the put that uncomfortable stock seat on and immediately sold the comfort version as an upgrade.... $$$. I did my research and went with the Corbin seat and don't regret it at all even with the higher price tag. It's super comfortable and the suspension doesn't bother me at all plus I like the way it looks.
You might’ve sold me on the Corbin. It’s that much better? How well does it hold you in when ripping it and not fall off the back? I’m assuming it’s very comfortable as well as you’ve said
@@hectichive889 It’s worth every dime. Note this: If you’re not going to use a backrest, do not order it with the backrest socket. I ordered the black on black, and the quality of the all-leather construction is excellent. It definitely holds you in when you Jack the throttle. Night and day difference in comfort.
That is a much nicer sound - the original is good but the new ones - wow. how do you find it now with the seat installed and taking off quick? Great videos - thanks for them. :)
Thanks! The saddle seat isnt the quickest to remove. It has 4 bolts holding it down plus a latch is required for comfort or stock seat. The bobber does have a connector for a battery tender so no need to take off seat in that regard
@@cmosadvantage5903 does it keep your butt in place on quick take off? :)
i didnt even know this was another option for a new seat, thank you
Hey dude! I just came across this video and it's actually the first one I saw that talks about the comfort seat. Plus, I bought a Scout Bobber Twenty looking the same as yours, ahah! So it's nice to see someone with the same taste as mine. 👌🏻 I'll bring the bike home within the end of February with the black comfort seat installed but I'll still be keeping the brown saddle seat; here in Italy we get the 2021 model year of the Bobber Twenty with that instead of the standard Bobber seat. Thanks for the review man, I truly appreciated it! Enjoy your riding! 🤘🏻😎
Thanks for the support! I'm sure you're counting down the days to get your bike. I think its best to have it installed with the comfort/default seat and getting the solo saddle seat on the side, to avoid the confusion of having to buy extra bolts later. Is the Indian a well known bike in Italy?
@@cmosadvantage5903 You got that right, ahah! I cannot wait! 😍 I had a nice conversation with the owner of the dealership where I bought the new bike and he told me that lately he's been selling SO DAMN MUCH! With Harley being on the edge for a while now, he said that Indian sales have increased a lot in the past couple years. Still, if you take a look around now you still won't see an Indian anywhere near you... I only spotted a Bobber Twenty at a bike meet this past summer but other than that, nothing. Harleys everywhere as usual. They're selling a lot of Bobbers as well, but the standard one, not the Twenty. Guess I'm some sort of a black sheep here, ahah! Anyways, I just subscribed to your channel! At least we'll be able to share stuff. 😜 Have a great day! 😊
Nice seat, but if you need to get to the battery for a boost, lots of work. I'm always boosting my scout. Anywhere near 32 degrees and I'm boosting.
Yeah its a little bit of work to remove seat and inspect. There's a plug on the side which can hook up to a battery tender without removing seat which may be helpful.
@@cmosadvantage5903 what plug? what side?
Hell yea badass!
Hell yea! Thanks bud 👊🏽
Not to comfortable
Agreed the Scout Bobber is not meant for long rides. Its better than stock but still uncomfortable for long rides and the suspension doesnt help.
I want these, but everywhere is sold out
I've had the same issue buying different types of exhaust. It seems like everybody wants the same exhaust at the same time.
@@cmosadvantage5903 I ended up finding some from a bike shop in Australia. They ship to the US, So best purchase every
hello brother how are you, I love the sound could you tell me where can I buy them?
I bought exhaust from Revzilla try this link out www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/roland-sands-track-slip-on-mufflers-for-indian-scout-2015-2018. Seems like the black ones are out of stock but they still have the chrome version.
Where did you get those pipes at? Everywhere seems to be sold out
I got exhaust from Revzilla....here's a link www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/roland-sands-track-slip-on-mufflers-for-indian-scout-2015-2018
Do you recall the size of the bolts you used to hold the tank down. I am installing the brave saddle and the stock bolts are too long.
These are the part #'s provided by randymaynard35 (He was nice enough to leave it in the comments) Bolts #7519005 and the Seat dart/pin #5140611. Let me know if you need any more information. I can always take the seat off and take some pictures and measurements for you.
what about the 1920 vs the comfort seat? on a bobber 60 and could use a little more i think
I've never ridden the bobber 60 but it seems they share same ride characteristics. The Comfort Seat is more comfortable but the Solo Saddle Seat has more curb appeal. Can't go wrong with either really. Be careful removing the seat dart/pin (bolt that latches to seat) when installing solo saddle, its easy to strip.
I just ordered my bike this past Saturday and will be picking it up later today. Same color as yours and I already bought the Roland Sands exhaust. I also got black exhaust shield as I am not a fun of the chrome. I was hoping to get everything delivered by the time I get the bike home but that's wishful thinking. Mine came with the comfort seat but I got to say the saddle seat looks so much better. I might buy it just to have it and switch it out here and there as I've been reading that it's not that comfortable.
Nice! I'm sure you will enjoy the bike and it's a little more comfortable with the Comfort seat. I switch between the two seats depending on my trip but i would watch out for stripping the latch bolt when installing/removing. You will get used to riding on the Saddle Seat after some time and will be able to ride for more than an hour (at least that was the case for me).
CmosAdvantage Kool man, thanks for the info
Great video!! Thank you for sharing this. I spent a little time looking for the parts to switch from the solo saddle to the comfort seat. Thought I would share the Indian part numbers. Bolts #7519005 Seat dart/pin #5140611 And they have an all black comfort seat available as well, part #2884226-VBA
Thanks Randy! I probably should have put the parts # on my video face palm. This was my first youtube video and glad you enjoyed it. Let me know what your thoughts are on the Comfort seat once you get some time on it.
Thanks for these part numbers. Very helpful!
can u give my youtube channel a shout out its franks family table
What's up Frank its been a while? I've been m-i-a in the youtube world for the past month and haven't uploaded any new content. Not sure how i can advertise your channel but i'll think of some way i can shout it out.
I test rode a Scout Bobber the other day, and am considering it as a second bike. I appreciate your review of the Indian Solo seat. The Bobber I rode had the standard seat but I also sat on one with the Solo seat. The Solo seemed preferable. Also the standard seat lets you slide back too easily for the acceleration of the Scout. I’m pretty much assuming I’ll put an actual springer on if I do buy the Scout Bobber, then evaluate the ride and see if suspension mods (replacement shocks) are still needed.
The Bobber is def a good second bike. I switch between the saddle seat and Indians Comfort Seat. The comfort seat doesn't have any slide in it like the stock flat seat so that may be an option. The springer seats look cool on the bike so can't go wrong there. Thanks for watching!
