Incredible BSA. In the 70s John bypassed the max RPM of the BSA, pushing it to an outstanding 9500 RPM, 1000 more than what the bike was built to do, to pass Agostini and make victory. Sweet BSA engineering

A young Pablo, now an old Pablo helping lead VR46. I keep waiting to see a new Nieto name in the Moto 3 class. Wayne obviously knew what he was talking about and it's been great watching Remi progress. Hopefully he can be up the sharp end in WSBK this year. Just watched a RUclips of him at the VR46 Ranch recently against some top names.

Remember this qualifier, that crash by Pol was sickening, but mainly because of the chat with DJJ, being a massive Red Dwarf fan.

I miss the Julian, Toby and Randy combo. One of my favourite commentary teams, always having a laugh and had some great visitors to the box. Remember them chatting to Keith Flint (The Prodigy) during IIRC Jerez. Him talking about how he'd ridden from home to the race 2 up with his girlfriend on his Ducati (a seriously long ride). Being asked where he was going to watch the MotoGP, he said "The Zoo". Julian replied "Watch out for the flying bottles", Keith responded along the lines of all good, it's half the fun. No corporate box for that geezer. I love every era of racing, but the current era is missing decent commentators with personality and passion. I loved Sheene, Heuwen, Walker and Surtees (showing my age), et al. But Julian and Toby, thanks to torrents, were my favourite commentary team. I'd watch the races live with Nick and co then download the Eurosport coverage when the torrents were available and rewatch the the qualifying and the races. Unfortunately hard drives were expensive so think I lost quite bit when they failed. Have 4 or 5 drives sitting in the garage somewhere I haven't touched in a decade and a half. Really should go through them and see what's left.

Funny how those old four cylinder bikes sound so different to modern ones.
