Putting a Bigsby Equipped Guitar in the Case
Просмотров 4,4 тыс.9 месяцев назад
I explain why I don’t swivel the arm of the Bigsby back - even when putting it back n the case. May not work for certain Bigsbys. One commenter said it broke the arm - but he was able to replace it with the Duane Eddy arm that's beefier. Use this advice at your own discretion. It's how I've done it for decades.

I was at victoria amps shop just today talking about these amps.
Very cool! This really rocks like it should! Well done guys!
Thanks a lot for sharing your knowledge! As a beginner who wants to learn to play rockabilly I appreciate it a lot!
My guitar hero
Red Loctite on the nut! Worked like a charm. 😬
DALE WATSON WITH THE REV COVERING KILLER ARE YOU KIDDING ME🔥🤘🙏👊
Can you give us another guitar lesson Jim? Pretty please?❤
Really cool; dig the animation style!
The Killer himself. Thanks for the uplaod.
👍🏼
There's a reason for this, Jim had a relationship with Lemmy. Well done!
Jim getting it. Taz ...who's the drummer? 😂
Absolute Class fellas!!
Nope. Its not much of a cover... too straight or something. Like when Motorhead covered Metallica it was cool, but the other way around was kind of a flop.
Let me guess drummer? Yeah I miss lemmy
Im not saying its awful, just might have been better with more southern accent in the style of Hayseed Dixie or change up the rhythm or whatever
🎶🙌💫👍❤️
Nice work Jim and guys, one of the best and most faithfull versions I have ever heard!!!! yeeeaaahhhh
Where can I buy this rawking version of Ace of Spades?
Love it! 🤘👊👏
That's the way I like it baby
And I don’t wanna hear forever 😅😅😅
Just tighten the arm when you change strings. It's easy then, because the nut of the arm pivot is easily accessible.
Fuck Yes!
Awesome! ❤🔥❤🔥
Goddamnit 🖤🖤🖤

Who is the drummer now?
Jonathan Jetter
Hell yes!
hell yeah
I just got my first gretsch with a bigsby a 6118 , gonna try this , I have saw guitars that the tensioner was loose and the bigsby was swinging loose
I've always wondered why most tube amps don't offer delay
Thanks Jim.
Thanks Jim.
I have a rescued mourning dove that starts singing every time it hears "Lonesome Train Whistle". It's the damnedest thing. Every single time.
Great lesson! Thanks Rev!
I do this with mine too. It’s not like it’s doing anything it’s not designed to do. That spring is pretty beefy and having strings on the guitar keeps tension on it anyway.
This is so cool and generous
Wow lessons from The Rev..How cool is that?
This is so cool
Thanks for these man. Im trying to learn this hybrid thing and your videos mean a lot.
i'm so dumb i forgot about it when buying a case and its a tight fit that requires a bit of pressing down. so i dont even bother taking it anywhere and the case was a waste/ error purchase XD
Just what i was looking for! Punk rocker at heart but I just got my Gretsch 5120 today. Psychobilly Freakout!
Thanks for the info. I will definitely keep the bigsvy arm in place in the case... I take my Gretsch out of the case every day..
Love that baffle..! Who made it?
Thank you Jim for doing this. All the best from Germany. Rainer
Thank you for this. If you ever have the time, I would love to see your breakdown of "it's martini time" . Thanks.
