I have a super nice male BCI. hangs with me and my dogs. The dogs don't create a defensive reaction in him or much of a reaction at all. it's his personality or upbringing. -limp out stretched tail stretching out exploring my house etc. i bought him at three. i handle him every other day or so. -probably 3 times a week. i love how she fills her enclosures with hiding places. for me it's not about being a "display" animal. it's about providing a space the animals feel comfortable in and that means being able to hide! These are not apex predators. I'm big into beautiful bio actives that look like a slice of nature and providing space to stretch out.

It's definitely a buyers' market. Lots of people in it for the money are chasing the next big thing (hognose) and selling off their stock. I've taken advantage and bought ingredients ;). I've watched simliar in the horse and dog market over the last 25 years. It is cyclic, and those that do best don't chase fades they pick what they love and improve on it riding out the highs and lows.

Hi... Our Pyrhon boy, age 4 (adopted) stopped eating right before his last shed (problematic - he has bad sheds). But he didnt eat since then. Last meal 2 weeks before shed, now almost 2 months starving... His Cloacae is little swelled tho, not open, not protruding outside. But you can clearly see the pink tissue under the scales by small slit. May this be a sign of breeding season? Thank you for your answer

Or you can run a thermostat to regulate for season temp changes. Every animal i have has its own thermostat so whatever the house temp is the thermostat controls the temp.

Indeed. My 17 year old female gave me a healthy 9 egg clutch. I believe for sure there is "too young" to breed, but if they are healthy, not so much "too old".
