Mich interessiert wie Syd mit seiner Krankheit gelebt hat... Eine traurige Geschichte. Hat er jemals Erlösung oder Frieden für seine Seele gefunden ???? Er lebte in einem inneren Gefängnis.

The last documentary didn't show anything new... Boring... Nobody knows exactly how Syd lived from 1975 to 2006 ???? The most important questions were not answered.. How long did Syd battle his drug addiction ???? Was he in a psychiatric hospital ???? Why did he live so isolated ??? Could he or did he not want to play music anymore ???? Syd said of himself: I'm a vegetator. His drug use gave him the illness of catatonia... Was he able to interact with other people ??? I'm interested in how Syd lived with his illness... A sad story. Did he ever find redemption or peace for his soul ???? He lived in an inner prison.

I don’t think people understand the ultimate purpose of this song. It’s not meant to be good or even a song for that matter. Syd kept changing the song because he was trying to tell everyone he was done with the band. Mental health fame and drugs got the better of him. In many ways I feel this is a companion piece to jugband blues where syd addresses in the lyrics that he isn’t there. You could think mentally at first but he was talking about being phased out of the band. It’s the only song written and performed by Barrett on that whole album

tbh trolling your own bandmates and intentionally trying to piss them off and mock them isn't a very nice or smart move if you want to stay with them (though I won't be surprised if they already got on his nerves at that point) but just in terms of sound I think it would've been a cool tune and this is a very interesting take on it
