This past weekend we had our first training event of the season at Algrave Hall. We focused chiefly on the Ecole de Soldat but also had the opportunity for some firing. In this video you can see us practicing Feu de Deux Rangs in three ranks. In this manoeuvre in the Ecole de Peleton, the first rank fires and loads. The second rank fires, passes their gun to the third rank, then fires again and...

The Brigade breaks out into the song Fanchon, a song legend attributes to being made by General Lasalle, but which may have earlier origins and have been popularised by the Hussar General in 1800. It's a popular song about a woman named Fanchon and how she likes to sing and drink like "one of us" or "comme nous".

“If you teleported into the last game you played, where would you be?” Me:
lol some guy had a denix replica in the line
Anyone wondering about baguette thing, baguette in French also means stick or ram rod.
There's a problem with the pronounciation but the moves are right.
Nice
Preserve histoŕy when be forgoten. Nice role play act for new genaration
How much you must be to attend those reenactments and do you need to have the nationality to serve the nation you want?
did something happen to your musket to cause you to stop shooting about halfway through the video?
Been trying to find a uniform at an affordable price for America
HOW MUCH FOR THE UNIFORM AND SHAKO???
Au pas camarades! Vive la France!
Can I add that song to my playlist😂
This is so cool but can someone give me the translation in French?
"Charger vos armes. Ouvrez le bassinet. Prenez la cartouche. Déchirez la cartouche. Amorcez. Fermez le bassinet. L'arme à gauche. Cartouche dans le canon. Tirez la baguette. Fourrez. Remettez la baguette. Portez vos armes. Armes. Joue. Feu. Redressez vos armes. Portez vos armes."
@@IMPERATOR-Buonaparte This is so cool, you're the best.
@@MoltenHoniBun You're welcome.

We French can do anything, Vive la France.
Nice close up of the musket firing pan at the start. Interesting to see those etchings in the metal.

"just playing with my tickle stick" pure comedy gold
What musket is that it doesn’t have the cut out cheek stock but it has barrel rings
We got Guts and blackpowder irl before GTA 6 😭🙏

@@sagenwa ik , I just said it to be funny
@@sagenwa Why do you expect a brain rotten 9 yo that plays roblox to realize it? He probably thinks it's an ACW game.
Are theg using a real sharp bayonet? Or its just a plastic? Well they just stabbing there enemys kinda makes it real
They're probably plastic and plus they aren't stabbing hard.
i love the prussian cav
is there only in australia or in eu Too?

The captions 💀
is it me or is their and MG-42 shooting in the backround?
It may either be the musketeers firing or another reenactment
a little work on the accent, but other then that.
Why would they insist on keeping your feet together?
Oui… TRÈS BIEN!
The video I needed. Thank you!
I'm wondering, was there any force that had a way of reloading while marching? Surely they would have tried to accomplish something that would give them such a tactical advantage. With some technique and possibly modifications to the rifle and/or loading process it could be done, couldn't it?
would be very hard under fire
In that time a British Red coat might shoot 3 times.
Before the gun is fully loaded, france would have surrendered already.
wrong war
there is nothing we can do - napoleon
did i just hear "la baguette" 💀0:25
Yes it means “stick” in french
@@BrokenIET thats crazy
The reason why baguette bread is called like that is because baguette mean stick, whose shape is shared with the bread
@@faiden3332which in the case of a ramrod is a bit accurate.
I cannot unhear "la baguette" 💀
well its literally Baguette or the stick
Pardon?
The bread in France is called "baguette", because it look likes a particular kinds of stick, not the other way around.
because its what he says
Where you got the outfit from?
Dudes playing Holdfast: Nations at War in real life?
This is very cool
Today I learned that the French word for ramrod is baguette!
I think it's slang
It‘s not slang it literally means stick
average blood&iron light inf main
Is this a rifle infantry? Because its outfit is similar to one and its musket or rifle has no bayonet or could be light infantry
Its standard fusileir (cant spell that word) The bayonet is just not fixed (and i belive not worn) in this video.
From a French musket enthusiast over here in the United States. This was excellent vive la France
