Tough call on that last gift. Sure, when the world is doing great, then seeing all the great stuff going on would be cool. But living on a planet full of greed and war and starvation, 400 years of watching that unfold...hmmmm. One lifetime I think is good enough for me. Great story and Jack is the prime example of putting others before yourself is what life is about. You don't have to lose yourself, but help when you can, and treat others with respect. Beautiful story. This hits home with me as I remember watching my wife look for her biological father for almost 10 years. The pain of getting denied answers because of red tape was discouraging. After talking to the right family member, we received a phone call one evening from who we found out was my wife's half sister from out East. She sent us a photograph of herself and her Dad and we almost died when we saw them. It was like I was looking at my wife's identical twin. When they finally met in person, I could see the massive weight lift from my wife's shoulders as she was finally able to end her search and begin a new journey with her new sister and Father that she was never aloud to see or know about.

Another great story of people who don't think they have a place, and feel they don't fit in. True love makes you see that it's the rest of society, that doesn't fit you. Thanks for the listen.

sometimes the use of the phrase "sometimes the best solution is..." makes people give the stroy a thumbs down and exclude the channel from future searches....this exessive use of some phrases is really getting on my nervs

That was a great listen. I loved the part when the delegates around them were like "You know each other??" waite..what? lol.

Yup that one got me right in the feels. My kids are in their 30's and I have a granddaughter, and to this day I still have pictures behind calendars on my fridge of my kids drawings from a long time ago. It's funny how when they come out to visit they chuckle at them and shake their heads like I'm crazy for not throwing that stuff out. They aren't huge art pieces, just small doodles from when they were little and they aren't on display for all to see, but they always seem to look and see if they are still on the fridge. We take care of our Children and always let them know you Love them, no matter what. Great story as always.

Yup...that sounds about right. Human logic might seem strange to another species, but we know that Sh!t has to get done, or that same sh!t will hit the fan and we all lose. Next time you see a human out walking around on his asteroide, just smile and wave and go about your day. For most humans, it's just another Tuesday.

Every time I hear this particular A.I. voice I know it's gonna be filled with inconsistencies, platitudes of human endurance, and a whole lot of other BS. Not to mention constantly using the same phrase over and over. I can only stand it usually through halfway before I move on bc these channels are too lazy to edit it before posting.

Louischannel7008 is correct. I'm also dismayed by the many repetitions between different sci-fi story channels. BUT....... honestly, I think this story is one of the best I've heard, carrying this particular plot. I would love to hear their story unfold further in the future. I think there's grounds for a few sequels 😊 thumbs up from me.

I like these stories of human compassion more than the ones where humans kick ass. As a history nerd humans doing the unthinkable and resisting what should have been instant defeat is littered through history, Poland and warsaw and Stalingrad Finland French resistance, how do you make guns without manufacturing, make simpler guns in basements with plumbing parts. How do you beat armor you don't just beat the crew and rubber tubes for fuel and brake fluid, k pattern flamethrowers and Molotov cocktails probably destroyed as many tanks as bazooka's. The incredible deeds in ww1 particularly the frenchman that took 1000 prisoners can't remember his name. The German tribes that defeated the Roman legion with sticks and rocks and mud. Human compassion is rare in history, worldwide, humans suck as a whole. So I like these stories more, they're less believable and more inspirational.

The luminari are mentioned in several stories and apperance seem consitent however the behaviour here is different. If some kind of unified setting where to be created I would suggest that these ones are from anoyher cultural group. Their homeworld are then probably a colony set up away from the original homeworld. Or the other way around. 😅
