The worst crossing of Biscay I've had was the very first one when I was very young. We got I to a Force 10 plus, with huge breaking waves, and I was as sick as a dog for 3 days. It was the only time I have been Seasick, and it was so bad I never want to experience it again. This was in the Full Ceep water area of Biscay, a d it is worth knowing that the Border between Dep Wzter and the Continental Shelf can be extremely Bad News. since, I have only gone South well clear of that Border on the Continental Shelf, and used the harbours along the way for shelter between good Weather Windows, and motoring to make progress when Necessary. To Prevent getting Seasick, .I use Stugeron Seasick Tablets (sadly not available in the USA, so when I went to the USA in 2016 to buy a oat, I took a few packets with me ).Do NOT follow the Dosage advice to take two Tablets, or you end up Fast asleep for about 12 hours ! Bad news if 2 out of 3 Crew are Bottle Green Seasick, but it sorts them Out - that dropped me right in it on a cruise and I was the only one left able to Sail. It panned out OK though. If they're that bad, hetting Tablets into them and able to keep them down, and in retrospect, I perhaps should have started with one tablet they keep under the tongue to get it into the bloodstream as fast as possible, maybe even half a Stugeron ? Half a Stugeron I what I take, about 30 minutes before going on board a boat. If a long cruise, half a Stugeron each morning for the next couple of days usually, I've never had to take half on the third day. I normally have three First Aid Kits inboard, One Large Main, and two satellite ones, one in the Cockpit, one in the Forward Cabin, and the Main one Close to the Galley in easy Reach, Each First Aid Kit with a Pack of Stugeron in it. Not sure where the closest place Americans can get Stugeron from ? Caribbean or Mexico ? Glad you made it across Biscay ok. Best Wishes and Fair Winds. Bob. 👍

In 2016 i have travelled 15 days via motorcycle in Morocco. Morocco is safe as long as you have a common sense of safety and respect. In Morocco as in USA or Germany or UK or Romania you can find trouble and get killed if you are searching for those things. In order to avoid those you should know to avoid in every foreign country : - arguing about politics, religion and arguing in general - respect their women, religion and laws - avoid shady characters, getting wasted drunk, high or in long trips with people you don't know - avoid isolated locations and if you can't (as i camped 2 times in the open desert) be prepared to get away quick - Always as local police about isolated/remote places you want to go and stay If you respect those rules of common sense... You should be safe.

The Canal is easy to get through. You must keep the motor on (no actual sailing without motor) and there are limits on speed. The big ships are scary for some, but if you stay in your lane, then everything will be fine. The tougher challenge comes after you go through the locks into the Elbe River to get to Cuxhaven. The Elbe River feels like the North Sea. They should carefully check weather and tides before heading toward Cuxhafen.

I guess what I am trying to say is when people are going to France, they say " I am going to France" when they go to Spain they say" I am going to Spain" they barely say I am going to Europe. So saying that you are going to Africa is a little strange because Africa is big and every place in Africa is different. That statement also displays an American attitude about geography... many Moroccans actually do not like when westerners refer to their country as Africa because you know what the stereotypes come with that word. I was trying the understand which rive you were referring to… you said TEiO and should be said TEjO, the “J” e read as a J not as an I.
