I don’t understand why there are so gruesome pictures while the song is joyous and peaceful expressing the joy that Jesus was born in Bethlehem, the kings are coming to give him gold and scents, the sun and the moon praise him together with the whole world etc..this is not the “dark Middle Ages”.
