My love for the virtual field railway and the lack of existing routes for the Train Simulator Classic encouraged me to become active myself.
And so I'll take you on a little journey, in my attempts to at least do some justice to the matter.
Who likes it...nice!!!...who doesn't...also good!!!...life is just a matter of taste.
Best regards

Shunting in the Maerdy Coke factory (my newest construction site) with a surprising ending... the TSC is sometimes so stupid that it's actually fun.

Expansion of the Corris Slate Quarry... there are clearly too many wagons and the train is far too heavy... it's almost a disaster... well... a virtual disaster

There is a lot for Ruston to do in the Tan-y-Coed quarry today. The slate cutters are already waiting for the next load - that is our job today.

Today we are transporting a load of slate from Aberllefenni via Corris to Machynlleth. This time a Kerr Stuart Tattoo Class from 1924 in black dress will be in action.

Today I converted a version of the limestone quarry from 2' to the Richard Maxted Narrow Gauge Track for 2' 3 in order to be able to use the excavators to load the wagons. Unfortunately the curve radii are very tight...the locomotive tipped over...so this video ends in the quarry...otherwise the tour would have ended at the lime kiln...next time then.

Something from the limestone quarry again. I liked the idea that it is now only operated with steam locomotives and that standard gauge has now been introduced alongside the narrow gauge. I think I will have the big train unloaded later in a port or something like that... we'll see.

TSC - Small Garden Railway in the Mountains
Nice launch!
I love all these small industry lines you're showing, will you upload them?
Absolutely lovely. I quite like the industrial nature, and the varied scenery, on this route.
Hi there Feldbahnfreund ! Its Richard. I have been watching your other videos and loving your work. I especially like the rock assets you have made as I struggle making those. Glad you found the accidental "Easter Egg" of the Mechanical Shovel. I didn't originally mean to include that in the Tracks Asset as its part of a new suite of assets I am building for my Sand and Gravel works (if it ever gets finished). I have also made it as a static and animated asset but it was a work in progress as I had wanted to include sounds. Anyway I am liking what you are doing with it so I've kept it in the latest update - at some point I will add it as a "veicles" asset pack of its own. I had intended to also add a couple of other booms to the crane - a jib with trawl and a clasp bucket on a jib. Quick question - are the black windows on the assets to do with the video as they should be clear and it looks as if you are missing a shader somewhere. Anyway keep up the lovely work
Thank you Richard, I wrote you a message on the Dovetail forum... Thanks and regards
where can we get the kilns from?
Stainmore, Shap & Eden Valley Route
I like the new kilns!
THIS IS SO COOL CAN YOU SEND ME THE PACK LINK?
where are those wagons from?
I think they were built by matrixtrains - I found them on the net
Hopefully at some point in the future, the Corris condition of No.4 will be made for TSC. There are some older UKTS models of the Falcons available I think on the British Locomotive Studios website, taken from UKTS
thank you for your message, I had also found number 4 on UKTS back then, as you say...but I don't know any more and probably nothing more will come, unless you do it yourself
You made this yourself?
good evening, no...I found it on the internet at some point. But I have been working on it for some time and will add one or two more slate mines. Aberllefenni should be accessible at least to some extent...others at least suggest the connection to the slate
@@OKTOBERroter nice
This looks beautiful. Corris was a fascinating railway - my uncle was a volunteer on the rebuilt line for many years. Is this planned to be released at some point?
@@jdw7145 thanks...but this track isn't mine...I'm just tinkering with it. have a look here: ruclips.net/video/QpnANjBU2p0/видео.html
I do have to say I liked the first iteration better. When it was more DDR like.
thank you....this version is still there and is waiting for further processing...
How did you build the embankment for the track? I always struggle with the land formation tool.
If you mean the railway embankments in the quarry - those are finished railway embankments that are part of the rock formations...it's always a bit of manual work to adjust the rails because they're basically hanging in the air...but it's not that bad.
@OKTOBERroter thank you. That's really helpful 😊 do you know by any chance which DLC has them embankments you used?
@@RailEnthusiast I think it was VNHRR Springfield
I dream of the day SHG makes a Corris Pack 3 with No.10. Sadly that might never happen.
yes, an update of SHG would be great...and a decent scenario package to go with it. Or the "Corris, Machynlleth and River Dovey Tramroad" with all its slate mines and quarries. but who will build it and who will buy it?
Love this map.
Goofy ahh corris railway
Included in the Wayside Works update for the route, is a sound patch for the exhaust on No.7. The original sound file Skyhook used was from a standard gauge loco, whereas Yarran has corrected it to sound more like the real Corris loco (a much deeper pitch)
I have tried several times to do this - I have no success. Also upgrading to Corris 22 does not work for me....no idea what I am doing wrong - I also run the batch file....who knows
Great video but why is the reskin so bright? lol
maybe a bit too polished😀
@@OKTOBERroter Maybe the alpha bake or whatever it is that needs to be removed before changing the textures, needs to be put back on?
@SteamLance Thanks for the tip, the alpha channel was completely missing. I created a new one and the issue is resolved.
is the quarry line a custom extension?
that's right - I built that
When building an NG route, how do you get the points not to stretch to standard gauge points?
I'm sorry, I don't know exactly what you mean
What game is this? Just wondering
Train Simulator Classic
Route details?
I know Richard recently updated the sounds and other things for all his content, I think its just a simple re-download
it was meant more in a figurative sense. I changed the route... and made the change public - but I really appreciate R. Maxted's work - after all, he is something of an old master in the TSC. I am aware of the new changes and they have already been installed here (Shovel, Lister worn....)

Nice route! Only the track should be swapped from Corris 2’3” to 600mm. 😁
the tracks of richard maxted were pretty much the only field railway tracks that existed when i started this route...that's why i'm leaving it like that...a homage to richard maxted and his great works
Hell yeah! By the way, is there a way for me to contact you about issues regarding Torfwerke I?
please use the discord channel of wayside work and then write a private message - @feldbahnfreund
