Our short trip to see our friend's homeland. We didn't know Glagow and Edinburgh were so different. We really enjoyed all of the amazing buildings and finding out that some of Harry Potter was film in Edinburgh.

Not big Ben elizabeth tower the clock is the clock only
There's no 'the' in front of tower bridge or any monument...big ben is the bells name, the tower is called the (pronounced 'thee') Elizabeth tower .. but obviously people just call it big ben
Getting around London is easy, with a little planning about how and where to go. When time is limited, it is best to work out what is chosen to see/visit so that time isn't wasted in retracing journeys at unnecessary expense. Buses offer a very accessible means of sightseeing and special route sightseeing buses can be used to include chosen destinations. That said, much of London can be seen by walking, not least to follow in the steps of famous figures like Charles Dickens who would spend nights walking the streets of this great city in his own time. Also walking allows a person to stop and linger when necessary.. .

London has gone to hell. When compared with Moscow Capital Region, the largest Urban Area on the earth in terms of area a whopping 48000 Sq Kms, London looks old, antiquated, dirty, filthy, shabby, place with homeless people, garbage strewn the streets and the side walks. Over the years Sadiq Khan has turned London into a pile of shit.
For a truly remarkable experience in the UK, my single piece of advice would be to venture beyond the large cities. You'll find it much more delightful to visit places like the Cotswolds, the Lake District, the Peak District, and the Yorkshire Dales, which offer far superior sights and activities.

How far to the golf course?
Hi it's about 200 meters from the gym and tennis courts. There is a tunnel under the main road that leads to the golf course, archery and painball. It's easy to walk there. Or you can walk to reception and they'll take you over in a buggy. The buggy is fun, but it's faster walking.
