The whole premise of this show is lost on most people, especially the couples. They think that the one giving the second answer is wrong when they give the "wrong" answer. If you listen closely to the beginning of the show, it's the person giving the first answer who is supposed to "predict" their spouse's answer...so the person with the cards is the one giving the correct or incorrect answer. It's a great show though.

I love the innocence in this. This was before everybody took offence to everything and everything became either abusive or a sign of abuse.

I'm not married. If I were and my wife and I were on this game show, I think I'd have a strategy worked out. No matter what the question, give an uplifting answer. For example, if it were me, on the question about the one thing the wife cooks (a bit presumptuous that the wife does the cooking) that I'd hate the most, I'd say something like: "Well, she's a great cook. However, last week she did burn her chicken casserole. We had to go out at the last minute."

Every game show had their own "Vanna" around this time, thanks to her success on 'Wheel of Fortune.' This revamped version of 'The Newlywed Game' was an attempt to Vanna-cize the show, and it failed. This is a show whose format didn't require such, as the couples were the star, and Eubanks didn't need any help from a model. You don't fix what ain't broke.
