My port injected straight six bmw e36 is on 240,000 miles when i took off the intake i was quite pleased that it did not require any cleaning.

Look at lambda numbers to see if your running lean or rich at operating temperature 0.97-1.03 operating number 1.00 Greek lambda means 1 then look at other variables that can cause issues too 👍

On my unmaintained trans 200k I had to change the gasket because overheating from a cooler hose came lose ruined the gasket. Had to put half old half new. Then overtightened the new pan and went back with all new fluid and feels like it’s a new tranny
