AI Music Editor - Extract Audio Stems and Edit your Layers with RipX DAW
AI and Music: A Dream Come True for Lyricists?” Since middle school, I’ve been writing song lyrics. Unfortunately, I lack the ability to compose music or play any instruments. Growing up in a financially challenged family, I couldn’t afford music lessons. Now, with an autoimmune disease that has stiffened my joints, learning to play an instrument seems even more daunting. I don’t have the means to hire a singer or produce music to accompany my lyrics. However, discovering AI tools that allow me to add my lyrics, specify a genre, and create a song structure feels like a dream come true. But is it fair for me to publish this music? In the video it is mentioned how some have a great hatred toward AI created content or music, and I believe there is valid points to justify these feelings. I empathize with musicians who’ve dedicated their lives to mastering the craft, only to face competition from AI-generated music. If used correctly, AI could be a powerful tool without undermining hardworking artists. Still, I share concern about music becoming cheap and ubiquitous. On the other hand, hearing my lyrics come to life is exhilarating-I did write them, after all. While I grapple with the ethical implications, I appreciate the possibilities AI offers. Perhaps striking a balance between human creativity and technological assistance is the key.
Appreciate your POV thanks for sharing
🔥🔥🔥 would love to connect sometime 😊
I literally commented on a popular channel a few months back on using Audacity for their openVINO plugin that I used to convert udio tracks into stems. Just hearing about this new udio feature and can't help but wonder if it'll be a paid for feature. If so ..nah. Audacity is free.
I love SunoAI, but I must admit it is falling behind in terms of sound quality and music editing tools. They urgently need to release a better model. The best melodies I've created are from Suno, but the vocal and sound quality are severely outdated. I hope they release something new to compete with Udio, because otherwise, they will quickly lose market share.😢
I understand your point UDIO seems a cut above at the moment but let’s see how things unfold :)
Is Udio as good if you want to use your own lyrics? I tried playing around with it yesterday and it seemed pretty bad. I agree it sounds better than Suno, but I really enjoy how much control Suno gives you in making the arrangement.
Theoretically any person should be sued that makes music by this logic. As the human brain takes inputs without permission and is inspired to make based on what they learn. A computer is just a bit faster and more efficient.
So in your mind every musician should be sued? As every musician takes inspiration and subconsciously generates a new song
@@musictechinfo nahhh that would be insane ! But I think to sue suno or udio Is a similar level of insane. Even if the models directly learned off of artist, it’s no different than what we do as humans when we create music. I hear artist song and I re-create some thing based on the input the computer is just a little quicker and better at it in terms of speed and what it gives you with that speed but me the sack give me a couple days and I can produce some thing based on the same input with the same inspiration, but I’ll never get sued. That’s why I went to the extreme. if they can be sued for the same process then normal people should too which is obviously ridiculous just to point out that is ridiculous
AI is crazy! Below is my Album: ruclips.net/video/__tYenU7zzs/видео.htmlsi=iVBnLGySNXE-0ycJ
I split stems and then what? I tried to put it in BiaB, but I didn't figure it out.
You may need to unzip the files first and then drag them onto a digital audio workstation like GarageBand or cubasis or ripx. If you are music producer then you do what you want but if you are not a musician then utility still needs to be figured out. Maybe you sell beats and vocals on top terms and conditions apply of course. Or release the vocals and let other producer remix
Thanks for this. 👍
No problem 👍
Theater couldn’t envision the impact of movies/radio. Movies/Radio couldn’t envision the impact of TV/Networks and they all missed the Internet! I believe you mentioned in the past that we are in the early stages of chain-based music…I agree…someone will eventually hit on the winning approach …We just need to give it time! Disclaimer: there was a time I was convinced CDs were the future of music … we all know how that ended:)
I like your way of thinking :)
Happy Holiday, i hope youre enjoying it :) I've been thinking about the same thing regarding music nfts and direct to consumer models. I spoke about this recently on my channel, The Third I. I'm a hip hop artist from Zimbabwe and im just trying to figure this piece out not just for myself but my community as well. Would absolutely love to collaborate or have a conversation with you regarding all of this. Cheers and all the best with your work! Enjoy your hols! 🎉
Thanks :) you can email me at musictechinfochannel@gmail.com if you want a collab
how do you change the battery on this headphone?
You can only charge it
Thanks Barry. Appreciate your info. Enjoy ya holiday ☀️
Thank you, I will
Can a melody be edited in AIWA so that I actually change the initial melody? Can I change the sound of backing tracks, for example, change the guitar part to an organ?
You are best to learn a DAW like GarageBand and split the stems via an ai tool like lalalal then you can do what you want
Also ripx is a brilliant DAW I recommend
@@musictechinfo Thanks. :)
@@musictechinfo Thanks. :)
Was obviously going to happen. This will just end with the labels getting paid off and selling out their artists..................
Thanks
Welcome
what is the purpose of uploading? it literally creates a whole new song
This is why we need more updates :)
Anyone know how to play a song in a specific note or say in minor?
You can try the prompt but I’m not convinced it would always work
That is an amazing arrangement of your tune. It would of taken so long to produce that. But do you own the copyright or can someone use your melody lyrics. I’m not sure what the legal arrangement is once it’s produced, do you then own it?
It depends on the legislation of the country that you are in. A lot are figuring this out but you would own the copyright of the original content that you made yourself but anything new that the ai tool has done, maybe not
@@musictechinfo Great video thank you for doing your best to answer my question.
*NONE OF THESE ISSUES WORRY ME WHATSOEVER... AS A SONGWRITER MYSELF OF OVER 40 YEARS... I HAVE WRITTEN OVER 2500 SONGS IN MY LIFETIME... I HAVE BEEN USING SUNO'S NEW EXTEND FEATURE FOR 3 DAYS NOW... TO BE HONEST... I AM COMPLETELY BLOWN AWAY... I FINISHED OFF ONE OF MY MANY MANY UNFINISHED SONGS IN LESS THAN 6 HOURS... THIS IS REVOLUTIONARY... I AM NOW MAKING A MUSIC VIDEO FOR IT... AND THEN ONTO THE NEXT SONG... THIS IS SURELY A GREAT TIME TO BE ALIVE... I ABSOLUTELY LOVE WHAT IT HAS DONE WITH MY MUSIC... UNREAL... I HAVE YET TO TRY UDIO'S EXTEND ABILITY COMPARED TO SUNO'S... BUT I WILL ... SOON... FACT... GREAT VIDEO BRO*
Thanks :) amazing huge catalogue. Do you have your music available anywhere for fans? Such as a vault?

THE SONG IS CALLED... "WHAT ONCE WAS"... AND I HAD THAT SONG SITTING AROUND UNFINISHED FOR ALMOST 15 YEARS... AND THANKS TO SUNO'S HELP... I AM NOW RELEASING IT... AND I DON'T CARE ABOUT THE CRITICS AND COMPLAINTS ABOUT USING AI TO GENERATE PARTS OR LOOPS OR WHATEVER... TUFF TITTIES... I ENJOY THE SH*T OUT IT... AND THE RESULTS ARE JUST INCREDIBLE... CAN NOT WAIT TO SHOW IT OFF... FACT*
[C: even if I try that, they just makes a whole new song instead od extending.. what do i do😢]
It can be hit and miss. Takes quite a few generations. Can’t remember if they have manual mode but try different custom settings.
Thanks to Suno... the AI generates fantastic music... top in almost all areas and super fast... in contrast to UDIO, which has other strengths... in any case, my SHizzzo radio works great with SUNO
I’ve started messing around with Suno this week and I have barely slept lol. I write and produce, but I don’t rap or sing, so I have been literally sitting on 100s of songs. This has been a godsend!!!!
Excellent 👌
But do they own the copyright to your songs once you load them up? I’m in a similar position where I have loads of demos etc.
I didn't realize Suno allowed uploading, this changes everything!
:)
An absolute game changer. Especially for me as a producer and writer who doesn’t sing or rap!!! I upload a portion of one of my beats. Put lyrics in and a prompt and BOOM a complete song in seconds. With an amazing vocal performance!!!
I've got literally thousands and thousands of unfinished ideas and demos like that. I sometimes thought to hear my voice, so thank you for being so brave to share your demo's. And I appreciate your opinion that AI is just a tool that creates opportunities to inspire us and help us to complete our own creativity. What most people forget in this AI copyright strike is that this is not about copyright. You cannot copyright a chord progression or an arrangement or a way of playing or mixing an instrument. Not even a typical genre, subgenre or artist's style. All human artists are trained on thousands of hours of music that we listened too during our lives. Subconsciously or consciously, we all bring those influences into our own work. Not to mention that most of us at least started trying to sound like our idols, right? As far as I know, only a melody including its rhythm can be copyrighted. Also when it's a groove like the intros of eye of the tiger or smoke on the water. So if we bring our own melodies (and perhaps lyrics) into these AI programs, what comes out is still OUR music, not Suno's, not the artists' that Suno has been trained on. Yes, the programs have glitches where there are obviously too many similarities falling under plagiarism, and it's good that the program deletes these renditions or better should warn us that we cannot publish and/or monetize these renditions.
Thanks so much for your comments :) I agree subconsciously I’m inspired by The Human League, and Depeche Mode when I write music or Idols have huge influence in our minds. The labels are suing because they want to use their own AI tools 🧰 in house.
you can waste time using AI like that ( as a "tool " ) but by the time you do one song like that , millions of people would have generated millions of "songs" creating an unprecedented amount of noise . Even if you manage to get better than a song generated from a simple text prompt , it won't make a difference you will be lost in the noise . The only positive is that we are starting to see a lot of people mocking those who pretend to " create " with simplistic text prompts , it feels a little bit like what happened with NFTs
Well it’s already like this in the music industry even before AI so it depends how you look at it. I agree NFTs appear to have died of death whether they will make a return is yet to be seen.
@@musictechinfo there srems to be an obsession of comparing AI to much smaller things that happened in the past , we are about to face an unprecedented situation .... whatever is happening now is about to get much much much worse
Congratulations AI can already argue better than you. ChatGPT : "The argument presented has some logical flaws and does not align with the current understanding and interpretation of US copyright law. Here are the key points to consider: Fair Use Doctrine: *The fair use doctrine allows limited use of copyrighted material without permission under certain conditions, which include the purpose and character of the use, the nature of the copyrighted work, the amount and substantiality of the portion used, and the effect of the use on the potential market. *For human artists, fair use typically applies in situations like criticism, commentary, education, and research, where the use is transformative and does not harm the market for the original work. In summary, the argument that AI companies should be able to use copyrighted training data freely because human artists do not need commercial licenses for their influences is not logically sound under US law. The contexts of human artistic influence and AI training are significantly different, particularly in terms of the nature of use and the potential market impact. Therefore, AI companies cannot necessarily claim the same liberties that human artists might have when it comes to using copyrighted material."
You can hear the feedback noise that Suno loves to add to destroy every song it makes.
Great video. Thank you! Ive been really impressed with Suno … although it is a bit too much of a black box at times…it’s like working with a partner that does what they want! plus looming lawsuits has spooked me from using it.
Thanks 🙏 appreciate that. I agree it has a mind of its own :)
I've been using their program for a long time pretty much since they came out feel free to check out what I made
Hey am going to be the first comment on your video i haven't release any music since July of last year, why you ask because the DSPS is Robbing me i have 5 albums Release to date, but like every one else, am not getting what i should be getting, So am thinking of going Directly to my supporters.
It can be more work that just using DSPs but it’s more rewarding. Just putting your music on sites like Bandcamp is easy, creating funnels and email automations are more complex.
If I have my lyrics and i want to put my voice how can i do it
Use something likes kits.ai which would work better
To me its just a gimmick if you cant get high quality stems...a fun gimmick tho
Can I create songs from Suno or any other Ai and submit them to Routenote? Will they approve it?
Yes you can they may reach out to you and say it’s not eligible for content ID but they can share AI tracks to streaming services for you
@@musictechinfo thanks
This brings back the age old discussion of property rights verses education and learning. Is the knowledge we received from school my knowledge? Do i own it, or is it leased to me because i was not the original creator of it.
when it all goes to court that’s when we find out who wins
the hacker manifesto speaks about "things that could be free if not for profiteering gluttons" its a good way to antagonize hackers imo as well.
Thanks for the video! It's a shame you didn't export the full version of one of the songs, so that we could listen to how your uploaded part and the AI part transition (this was the thing I was more curious about)
More on the way
thank you for your help
Glad it helped
When I uploaded a piece of classical piano played by my own, I received this message "Uploaded audio matches existing work of art". Why is classical music still copyrighted?
Most classical music is copyrighted
@@musictechinfo Suno seems unable to distinguish my own recordings from recordings previously made by other artists.
The irony...a machine that is stealing from artists tells you, you cant use copyrighted stuff
@@musictechinfoexcept when. It isn't

how about vocal only?? can it created the background music??
You would have to try it
What's unfair about this that you have to be a pro for premium shit in order to upload audio. That was bullshit and sad for me 😢 😭
It was their inspiration that created A.I if they would just take our songs and make a hit out of it, we wouldn't be resorting to Band In a Box and Suno.
Popcorn
🍿
Not bad at all
Thanks
I suspect this is a power play to get some of the revenue from these companies via an out of court settlement. Might be a revenue sharing deal for passive income for the labels from subscriptions paid to the companies by consumers. I don’t think they actually believe AI will damage the industry because they asked that the music be licensed. You aren’t going to license something if you actually think there is potential damage. But if it goes to trial, perhaps we’ll finally get a ruling on whether or not the training is fair use as that’s the claim being made and their argument really isn’t a bad one. If a person intentionally attempts to duplicate a song, that’s on the user, not the AI platform.
The companies have already put in their claim as of yesterday against Suno and Udio so we are in very interesting times to see how it goes ;)
can you make parodys with this ai. example (take a normal song mary had a little lamb) and then keep the song keep the voice keep everything but make the words differnt gary had a obease ham like that can you with aiva?
It’s hard to keep the song but you may get it to generate similar. If you put the prompt as Mary had a little lamb and change the lyrics then that’s the best chance, if not you could try the upload feature :)
@@musictechinfo thanks 👍
Any musician can use this as a great base platform to build songs from
Agree it’s amazing creativity
@@musictechinfo yes I can see how this could take a guitar and vocal and turn it into a great demo, many songwriters can’t afford to pay for session musicians and producers, many songwriters don’t have the resources and time to pay for expensive demos, especially if they’re prolific songwriters.
As someone who’s being making music since Reason 2.5, I can say for sure that AI will take over. For me it’s better than using DAWs haha.
The results are really impressive
All due respect - junk in, junk out!
Agreed that’s why I just uploaded rubbish demos my proper music is very different :)
Musicians are weak and passive. Ai allows non musicians to become fake musicians. They imagine they’re creating something. Ai is here. Musicians have been creating lame stupid processed music that’s easy to replicate. That’s what has been modeled. Although I’m very impressed with how well it copies different genre. Consumers don’t care, they haven’t heard anything new or different, they have zero clue.
Interesting pov
@@musictechinfo Yeah, its always entertaining to get opinions from people not educated or even familiar with what they want to grant you their opinion on. They are always the same idiots who hire people to do things, then wanna tell you the pro, how to do them. They just wanna be a part of the conversation, because they can pretend to be fake smart for 2 seconds to themselves. This comment literally has no actual factual or educational content to it.
Dude, you are OBVIOUSLY NOT a musician. You have zero clue at all what the video is even about. Goofball
If WMG wins this case than Steinway is going to sue every sampler company such like AKAI / Roland , that created similar piano sounds , and TAMA is going to sue every drum computer on earth that sounds similar to their drum set. And Mercedes’ is going to sue BMW. for similar cars. Than the best of all , Mick Jagger is going to sue EVERY rockband on the planet that sounds a bit similar. OK and Grand master flash is going to use EVERY rapper on earth. Let’s see how far they get with their money cases , funny that Sonauto does the same AI but does not get any lawsuit , too little money to get from there.
Yes I’ve feature Sonauto and it’s Gone unnoticed. Start with the big fish and work their way down perhaps
No surprise Spotify scooped that up...
