If your laser printer is not on the list it is most often possible to make a connection anyways. If you know your printer name and model I can check with our technical team. Nope. That is a shady and shitty business practice that allows dealers to change the pricing based on how much they think a customer can afford. History is full of examples of it happening in the past. Why is Contex afraid to put out an MSRP? It's not because of sticker shock. Anyone in the market for a solution like this is expecting to pay for it. Shipping alone will make the finance department start cussing. It's not more than a house, yet house prices are always listed. It's not more than a truck, yet truck prices are always listed. So why is it a secret? Is someone there ashamed of the spectacularly high profit margin?

Hello Dallas Imes, Thank you for your comment. I was just around our technical support team to make sure the answer is correct: This happens when the document is not being held by both the front and rear feed rollers, such as first inch or so when the document first starts to get scanned. This is caused by one of the following options: 1.) The document is slipping on the lower feed rollers when being driven by only one set of feed rollers. Clean both the front and rear lower feed rollers using a water dampened lint free cloth. If you are having difficulties cleaning the rollers then a good roller cleaner such as “Rubber Renu” by MG Chemicals will do the job. 2.) Another possibility for this problem is if the glass has become slightly dislodged from their white clips. This can be a little difficult to see when first looking so you need to look very closely at each white clip when they hold the edge of the glass. Be sure the cut edge of the glass has not popped itself out and on top of any of the clips. 3.) Lastly, if the leading edge of the document is lifting off of the glass when it first feeds into the scanner then the results will be a shift in the alignment of horizontal lines. This can be problematic if the documents have been rolled, have heavy folds or have torn edges. It may be necessary to lay the documents out flat and weight them down to allow them to rest and flatten out before scanning. Rotating the document ninety degrees so the rolled edge is moved to the side will often help with this situation as well. Lastly, inserting the document into a clear film document carrier sheet will almost always resolve issues scanning difficult originals.
