Good question! in Arabic the verb changes as per the gender of the word if it is masculine or feminine. The sun الشمس is feminine so the verb will be تضيء. The gender of the word القمر is masculine so the verb is يضيء. Hope it is clear, if not let me know, I can explain further with more examples. Keep up the good work!
