Age of Mythology's 5 WRs, that nobody wanted
The following video is the culmination of over 2 months of my life. I probably could have done it faster, but I am certain I could not have done it any better.
If you would like any more information regarding this speedrun, don't hesitate to ask; I wasn't able to fit it all in. Off the top of my head, I had to cut the following topics:

Why the crap would you want to? Unnecessarily hard is not my idea of fun
When people leave comments like this, I can't help but wonder. Did you watch the video? 'cause I had a blast. There's something so satisfying about overcoming your fear of something that seems difficult, only to find out the real challenge was in your mind.
Wierd thing is, that's exactly how I beat Malak as I kid.... I layed mines.
The best I did in terms of not leveling up is getting, and only the main character, to the ice plateau on Telos, at level 1. And I was forced to level up heal there anyway, to not make the upcoming fight too difficult.
The real strat for beating any challenge is to never let yourself believe that it is impossible... and to never stop having fun trying.
is walking into the debris on the spire to advance without opening the door not a glitch? hahaha

why did you skip showing how you beat davak
iirc I skipped showing how I beat Davik because I skipped beating Davik. If you bring Calo down to low health the thermal detonator cutscene plays and Davik dies without you ever touching him. At this point I don't remember, but I feel like I made a joke where the punchline requires you to know this little tidbit of information. I have a tendency to make jokes like that.

Did you ever hear the Tragedy of Noelle Valing the Meek? I thought not. It's not a good story. It's a really bad legend. Noelle Valing was a weak human of the dredges of society, so pathetic and so +0 wise she could not use the Force to influence the midichlorians to create life… she had such a knowledge of the demolitions skill that she could even plant mines during cutscenes. The demolitions skill is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. She became so powerful… the only thing she was afraid of was running out of mines, which eventually, of course, she did. Unfortunately, she taught her apprentice everything she knew, then her apprentice killed her attempting to disarm an enemy mine. Ironic. She could save others from death, but not herself.
Is it possible to learn this power?

The secret to winning no matter how poorly you build your character is save your levels for the tough fights. Each time you level up, your everything gets restored. So when fighting Malak, I just hoarded my levels and used them each time I got close to death.
This is absolutely hilarious!!! The repeated “yes. thank you Carth” made me laugh harder and harder every time! The dueling montage and the sith apprentice on Taris getting cut off during his monologue were some of my other favourite parts. The editing was truly FANTASTIC and really added to the experience. You took the time and care to add in the little details, like the dialogue on screen lining up with your narration, or the MC crouching animation at the end lining up with the music, and so many other small things I can’t list them all. Combined with your extremely funny narration, this is seriously an amazing video, and one I will definitely rewatch in the future!! Now I just need to finish playing KOTOR II so I can watch that video!

A fun challenge run is just using blasters and playing the whole game solo after peragus 😊

I do remembr getting to Dantooine without leveling up to maximise my Jedi levels.I was level 2 since you need to be level 2 on the endar epire.

Hilarious how Malak was defeated similarly to how I defeated him on my first playthrough back in March. After he drained the first Jedi I couldn't hit him so I resorted to spamming Thermal Detonator's and menu healing. Got the job done soon enough. I had a seperate save file on the temple so I could do the Dark Side ending, and thankfully I still had two levels to spare after until I reached max level so I invested in Valor and was finale able to hit him. Also found the Star Forge robes that time. Well done on the playthrough. Taking the Kotor challenges to the next level, (Hehe) beating Kotor without taking damage, now that would be a difficult challenge indeed.

Oh my god. That softlock when carth breaks the leviathan cutscene took me so long to fix I wish I watched this video earlier just to skip it. For me it was 2 mods Conflicting (kotor 1.2 and the community patch) and breaking the cutscene. After redownloading the game and replacing the save file and kotor 1.2 only it fixed it.
Weird, did Carth break for you too then? I know I took some artistic liberties with Carth in this video, but he was honest to god following me around yelling "They're waiting for you inside."
@@vhoul I don't know if carth directly broke it for me. Though I did get to hear the "he was my old mentor" line so many times fixing it that I almost went insane
Lol yea, I remember that line well. If Carth wasn't doing anything weird, then it probably wasn't him. There are so many ways to break a cutscene, but only one of them is Carth.
@@vhoul most likely wasent him. I think there's other ways to break the cutscene. I also had a bug where I couldn't enter my ship later in that playthrough and just resorted to teleport commands to get to bugged out places.
The malak fight is glorious. Haven't laughed this hard in a while
I give you credit that the first half of the game I was lving dex on a melee character so it was almost like i was going a no lvl challenge

Hello, I kinda agree now after all this time, I've spent like 1000 when I was a kid on that and still have amazing memories. Anyway I just tried it again and it wasn't enough, so please try nolvus mods, only going around any town is enough without all the new mechanics and options you have, BTW nothing is toturialed
I've never really been a mods guy. I think mods are great and modding communities are full of wonderful people, but they don't provide a lot of value to me personally. This video was a sort of love letter to Skyrim, and a farewell. Skyrim doesn't have anything left for me in it. I've accepted that, and I'm ready to move on. But thanks for the suggestion. I'll keep it in mind.

Theoretically? Yes. Practically? Maybe. Will I actually do it? Probably not. There are other more interesting questions I would like to find the answers to.
I always did Nar, Dantooine, Onderon, Korriban. Actually the game feels very different when you do dantooine, onderon and then Nar as third planet. One time I did Korriban as the second planet and it was hard. This game is pure nostalgia for me
Nar Shaddaa first, eh? That's wild. I can't imagine getting the freedom to explore the galaxy, and then saying, "Y'know where I wanna go? Nar Shaddaa."
Nar Shaddaa def the worst part of the game....
What? Nar Shaddaa is cool, and the game implies it's the canonic first planet to go (Atton talks about it on Telos) (Even if personnaly I used to begin with Onderon/Dxun, the yes Nar)

not all too relevant to this run since you cant level and arent a jedi, but my first playthrough i got drain helath and thought oh what if i drain the health of the things malak is and it works! not sure if thats common knowledge but its cool
I think it's pretty common knowledge, but usually the kind of thing people discover on their second playthrough. Actually, there are a number of force powers you can use to prevent Malak from healing. strategywiki.org/wiki/Star_Wars:_Knights_of_the_Old_Republic/Viewing_Platform (The section on the captive jedi is near the bottom of the page) I was going to mention this in the video, but sometimes things just don't fit.
