We Are Citizens Of a Different Kingdom
This is currently one of my very favorite passages of Scripture, which has been blessing me so much in recent years. I so much enjoyed Zach’s refreshing treatment of this passage. 2 Corinthians 5:19 has blown my mind and is counterintuitive to how nominal Christians in the West often see the world today, and probably is why so many have sadly been turned off to the very love of God which they desperately need. “God was in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself, NOT IMPUTING THEIR TRESPASSES TO THEM,” (What!!) but committing to US this message of reconciliation from God! Is this the amazing message most people are giving out? It’s crazy, isn’t it? It reminds me that “God did not send His Son into the world to CONDEMN the world but that the world through Him might be SAVED” (John 3:17). And of course, being SAVED, means becoming a new Creation in Christ, walking in the Spirit, walking in the light and He is in the light and having fellowship with one another, having sins forgiven and being cleansed by the blood of Jesus from all unrighteousness.
This was a wonderful message, and I was so blessed to be in the service this morning.
