@@OregonBuildingRailfan There isn't anything mechanically or electrically impossible about having more than 6 cars coupled together when they are type 1-3 trains, it's just that it has never been necessary. They were bringing back trains to the yard that were stuck out in the system and operators had to be brought back after HOS limits were reached. And it was quicker to bring them all back together than to send out 3 different operators or supervisors to bring them back 2 at a time. The only real limitation would be not pulling too much electricity at once from one of the substations so even at a 6 car train they would have to notch up the throttle slowly and probably have a P3 power restriction.

I’m on the same page! I started out MAX but didn’t care too much for buses. When I realized, the 2500 and 2600 D40LFs were pretty much retired. Only things left were the 2700s in storage and 2800s in active service.

@@OregonBuildingRailfan As for me, I wasn't interested in anything, I liked taking the MAX. As for me the Gillig Phantom got me into transit buses since it had a school bus version (yes, Gillig made a School Bus Phantom) and I started to like the Gillig transit buses and learned Trimet had them in the past. I learned about the entire fleet then I also learned about the MAX. Like how Trimet is the only transit agency to have the Bombardier Type 1s (unknown model) and the SD660s. I did get a Trimet Summer pass via my school but unfortunately parents don't want me to go anywhere. I do plan on in the future going on every Trimet line (Buses, FX, MAX, WES, and the buses for other agencies like C-TRAN, SMART, and SAM)

@rosecitybusman129 I have a similar story. Before I turned 18 this year I would only be with my parents to go out, as a matter of fact, I only went out when I needed to like visiting family, appointments, or notable events. That pretty much is where all my videos come from. If we had time, we may take a detour to see something. Going out just for buses and trains was a rarity and I obviously was with someone. Now that I am 18 I do have some freedom to go alone. If you do like transit, when you get the opportunity to head out, definitely do so as a hobby. If you need to be with someone, you don’t necessarily need to feel bad as I am someone who had to be with someone. Maybe they will also get into the hobby lol.

@@OregonBuildingRailfan By the time i got into buses in late 2017, TriMet's oldest buses were the 2200s. I never got to film the Flxible Metros, Gillig Phantoms, and 1997 D40LFs in service. I do remember seeing Flxible Metros back when they were in service. But i didn't really pay much attention to them. At least i got to film an ex TriMet Gillig Phantom and 1997 D40LF when they were owned by EcoShuttle and the Flxible Metro that was in Salem in 2018-2019.
