Yeah, the diction is pretty awful in this one lol. It’s mainly because I wanted my vocals to sound very ethereal and luscious so I added a crap ton of reverb, chorus, and quiet backup vocals. I personally think that makes the song sound better than if it had better diction and the vocals sounded more plain and boring. Especially with this type of song which is very dreamy and trippy and the slurred vocals helps make the song sound more relaxing which is what I was going for. Of course, there’s also a skill issue and laziness component here as well. I’m a noob singer and producer and I don’t like to spend more than a week making a song since it makes songwriting less fun for me. So, I have to make a lot of compromises with my mix lol. The lyrics are in the description if you want to know what the song is about tho

I was born in 87 so i wasnt around too see Ronnie N them boys play but i know all about them.... This is the version of Skynyrd i grew up with and to me its good enough bc they are carrying on a 50 year legacy... I was lucky enough to see Gary, Billy, Leon, play for Skynyrd

Same here sir I was also born in 87 and am so thankful and grateful to be able to say I got to see them in concert with Gary and luckily was able to do the meet and greet and meet all of them including Gary, Gary is the one that made me have the desire to learn to play, his sound and techniques are so different than the rest of the guitarist. Truly a legend and The Last Rebel.
