To Glenn: Gaga helps both dancers and people without a dance background to find more freedom in their movement, but it is not “free movement.” The Gaga movement language offers a specificity that sets it apart from what you might consider “free movement.” The classes are not free-for-alls or jams. Instead, through the language, users become more aware of their sensations, and from this place, they are able to research and expand their movement options. I hope you will be able to experience Gaga for yourself in the future, since this is the best way to get a deeper understanding of it (I write this as both a certified Gaga teacher and a dance scholar who has been researching Gaga for more than 5 years).
It used to be called " free Movement", nothing really new actually. A new hype, a new marketing tool.
