The clothes are fabulous overall...depending on how they are worn, you can look like a hobo, or a very chic, slightly kooky fashionista. I am a collector of some of the early linen items. They are truly unique. Yes, they cost a pretty penny, but having a couple of vintage dresses to be stepping out on the town, is heavenly. In other words, buy discriminately. Enjoy!

Omg thank you for this video! I have kind of a similar story. I was naturally good at helping people and psychology fascinated me so I studied it. Then I worked part-time at a helpline and I really liked the job. I thought I would make a good therapist some day but I didn't feel ready, I wanted to improve my own mental health first. But when I got more healthy and I finally realized how demanding the job of a therapist is, I was horrified! I don't think I'm going to work in the mental health field anymore. I have a friend who says that working with her patients also helps her deal with her own trauma. I wonder if she will quit one day too...

I had a similar childhood to her and also empower myself now with wearing grunge and poverty empowered pieces that I buy but mostly up-cycle myself . It gives power to a helpless situation and I also became an artist probably as a result of my environment. I could cry about it or I could see it as what made me into who I am. I love old materials because I lack history older than my parents. I like lace because underneath is a fragile inner child who craves sweetness. I love bloomers and a concert tee because I’m gay but also feminine. When you grow up in extreme situations we learn to imagine and play dress up as adults. It’s play with your inner child who never got to play. The prices are crazy but try to make it and you see why. It’s art. It’s not just clothing. I make a lot of my own similar styled stuff though different -and trust - it’s not easy the handwork and materials. I thrift like a mofo for mine and then sew it all myself. I think when people attack the prices it’s because they don’t know what goes into it. It’s art. And the only people that want to wear it realize that.

You’re not the only one that had work taken down. I had a pretty cool space themed graphic design work that got shot down by RedBubble, which I felt the same you did. I did however, went back and did some modifications to my space themed work. After Uploading and a couple of changes, I never received any issues. Hopefully, it stays back on RedBubble without any issues.

Love or hate MP...she definately "made it" to the big time. Although there is no way I'd pay those prices, I do admire her creations & artistic abilit to make it all come together. Everyone now a days gets so offended. I do understand the Native issue... But i am almost 69 yo. Grew up on TV westerns. As an adult & could do my own research, I feel like my whole "private" school education was one big fat LIE. If I ever wore anything with a Native image it is because of my admiration of them!!! Just like I'd wear clothing with black movers & shakers. That is saying a lot coming from a southern born woman...who remembers the gross mistreatment of them as well. I laughed so hard, i actually spat out my mango juice when you said "why does this woman look like she feeds pigeons or sweeps chimneys" That was hilarious 😂 I grew up poor, lived in 14 homes, was homeless at 16, battled addiction, still struggle now, but I'm grateful for having government assisted housing.
