I like the tools you selected, especially the tools you picked up to compliment the Quinn tool set you bought. I have many of the same tools as you do, and lots of other tools, too. I'm sure it won't take you long to outgrow that cabinet. I think I have four cabinets filled with tools now, and still need more room! Three of them are for tools and one is for spare parts and consumables (saw blades, drill bits, sandpaper, screws, zip ties, etc.). I've found that organization is imperative to help you find what you need when you need it. I like that you picked up some accessories for tool organization. That will be quite helpful for you as you use your tools. I do wish that Harbor Freight would sell a set of organizers specifically to go with the tools in the Quinn set, and in particular, socket organizers for that set. Kudos to you on keeping your tools well organized. Although I have many of the same (or very similar) tools for my garage, I don't have the rolling seat. It looks pretty neat, though, so I might have to get one of them.
Thanks again for your support with the comments! I love hearing others’ thoughts and feedback on my tool selection and organization. I’ve always seen people share their setups with 4 or more full size cabinets and wondered how they manage to fill them all with tools. After seeing how quickly my double cart got filled up with just a couple trips to the store I can see how people need to upgrade so often 😂. I can’t stress enough how much I wish Harbor Freight would start selling more tool organizers. They’d make a killing!! Definitely recommend the rolling chair. Haven’t used the new one too much yet but the old one I had was a life saver.
Nice job on the project. Since you're only two subscribers away from 100, I'm subscribing to help you get there! While I've never done this modification, I appreciate what you've done. Looking at how you did it, with the advantage of hindsight, I think it might have been easier to keep the floor of the original top tray and just cut the sides off of it, rather than fabricating a new mounting system for the middle drawer guides. The bottom of the new set of drawers could then be mounted directly to the floor of the original top tray. That would save the effort of drilling out the rivets and spot welds, and having to reattach the middle drawer guide later.
Hello! Thank you so much for the support and feedback, it means more than you know! I agree that it definitely would have been easier to keep the original floor of the second top chest to avoid having to remount the drawer slides. However, I wanted to keep the second top chest intact because I used it to make a second “tech” cart without any of the drawers. Just the top chest and the bottom storage area. If I wasn’t going to use the second top chest it would’ve been much easier to just cut the sides off like you said. It’s definitely a good point to bring up for others who aren’t planning on using the remaining pieces.

That’s man! I was excited to see what the audio quality was like. Better than I thought it would be for the price!
The Quinn plier set, the channel and needle nose pliers wore out in 18 months, plan to replace with Doyle or Icon. But, the linesman pliers are like new despite near constant use. Just this weekend, I used the metric wrenches of that Quinn master set to replace the fuel filter and pump in my '98 Honda Civic.
Wow that’s interesting to hear. Weird that the linesman pliers are lasting so much longer. Wonder if I’ll have the same experience. Hector is running three Honda civics with spoon engines!
I picked up those jack stands on sale in December for like $25, haven't used them yet but an upgrade over the little ones I have had for years. My sockets are on rails or in the hard cases still, I'd like to change them up at some point. My wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers are all on Toolbox Widget now, my initial wrench set of organizers was a gift but I picked up a bundle on Black Friday that was frankly the only way I would've bought it otherwise (nice stuff I like, but not paying full price). It's crazy how much space it freed up though!
I’ve heard good things about the Toolbox Widget organizers, just haven’t liked the price tags I’ve seen😬. I’ll have to wait to see if I can pick some up when they go on sale again.

@ those torx bits alone are pricey, I’ve had to get some working on my S1K, the fact it came with a T70 is cool.
I do think its funny that harbor freight says to compare it to gearwrench 89059 and you save $1400!, while skipping the fact that the gear wrench set has 150 more pieces to it. Still a great deal, but not exactly a fair comparison either.
Yeah some of there price “comparisons” are very iffy. Not really a one to one comparison with most products.
I wish it would come with some kind of organization, or even if they sold it separately exclusively for this set incase you wanted to use a rolling tool box. it does seem like a great kit though.
Yes I definitely agree, I just got my cart filled up today and I really need to get a couple more organizers. Organizers specifically for this set would be very helpful, I’d buy a couple.
@@xaviersgarage I would want a blow mold case, although with this many pieces, that might be a rather chonky case. No matter how you spin it though, there should be some options to organize this set, wether it's foam cut outs or blow molded, there's way too many pieces for them to just be like figure it out lol.
I got this set and its good. My set came with 2 15mm wrenches and no 16mm. Harbor freight just gave my a 16mm quinn wrench and told me to keep the second 15mm. Great customer service.
That’s great to hear, I actually realized I’m also missing a 16mm wrench. Hopefully the guys at my store do the same. Did you just show them the receipt?

@@tylenzer9258 i have not seen a storage locker on one yet just the 10 drawer add on or taking the 2nd 5 drawer cart lid and mounting in vertically on the side as opposed to throwing it away
@ right same here I’m just saying if someone can figure out a way to mount a side locker on a 10 drawer it would be elite and if they can figure out how to mount lockers on both sides they would be the god of General tool cart hacks

No, I didn't go through the hassle of connecting the locking system since I wouldn't really be needing it in my garage.
