On my recent trip to Orlando I had the opportunity to try out both executive level at the radisson blu hotel for the night before and (included with my upper class ticket) the new 1903 lounge in Manchester Airport's terminal 2. The new lounge is a serious upgrade from past offerings, and offers a good but less well appointed alternative to Virgin's clubhouses, not to mention a fairly small foot...

A review of Virgin Atlantic's new upper class on their Airbus A350-1000 leisure config, there is no footage of the 'nook' as it was pretty busy throughout the flight. Will never pay this £3750 again for a seat like a cheap bus from Manchester to Atlanta on a cramped little Airbus . The TV ads are a scam , the reality is , 'Cram Them In' . $$$$$
Stretching the definition of a suite
I have just flown on the virgin a350-1000 upper class to los angeles and tbh i was very disappointed i feel virgin have taken a step back with this and didnt feel like i was in upper class like you do on their dreamliner...i feel its quanity i.e more passengers over comfort and quality of service,i had the same food ony flight and my portions were no where near the size of yours...also the toilets felt smaller than in economy and were dirty...the trim was broke on my seat and their were dirty socks from another flight left in the place you put your feet....disgusting...for the 1st time im really disappointed in virgin
Was it from LHR? I’m yet to try the a350 cabin from there as it’s quite a bit larger than the configuration from Manchester- 16 seats vs 44 from LHR. I do find that I prefer the older upper class product on the 787 as it feels more sociable to be honest. I think also the cabin crew can occasionally be hit and miss on Virgin, 90% of the time they are fantastic for me personally. Perhaps the smaller cabin helped for a more personal service? I’ll have to try from LHR one time.

Love the wide-angle footage, may I ask which equipment you are using? Also, the Upper Class looks real proper. Never mad at a loo with a window too. Details matter. All in all, cool editing, and looking forward to more videos! Cheers from you new subscribers! ✈
The majority of the wide angle footage was taken with a GoPro Hero7 on superview field of view, or just an iPhone 13 wide angle lens for some shots. The new upper class was definitely a good experience, although less sociable than before with the loss of the bar. Ditto on the loo and thanks for the subscription!

What settings did you use for time lapse? Always fancied giving it a go. Need to try this on my next holiday. Cool vid. Awesome choice in music.
I used a suction cup mount on the window with the timelapse set to take a photo every 2 seconds

I've flown from Ncl-Sfb every year since 2002 but my grandma has done it for 25 year. I'm going back on September 22nd. This video has made me so happy as it brings back so many memories. Thanks !

brilliant video, whilst doing the out the window shots how did you mount your go pro? I'm flying out to Florida next month with Thomson so any tips would be great.
I used a suction cup mount and fixed it straight to the window. fairly easy to do as the window are quite large.
How was the flight in terms of service and legroom for 8+ hours
It was fairly cramped, but acceptable for the price nonetheless.
