Great Video. I too retired 2023 and just got my ebike last year 2024. I am also enjoying doing gravel rides around Glasgow and Aberfoyle etc. I make videos for myself as well. Its a good hobby and gets you out doing some exercise. Keep it up. Maybe see you on a trail around Aberfoyle some time. Best of luck.

Rode the same route to Balloch on Monday coming from Paisley via the Renfrew ferry then back over the Erskine Bridge, it was a good run out

My EMTB has bulkier frame, a bottle carrier and a rear shock. No way to fit arm cradles nowhere.

Those setts could be laid smooth with effort as they were 115 years ago. Although setts were cut flatter then. A better ride would encourage many to partake. imho

In case you only transport one bicycle, it must be mounted on the rail closest to the car.

Yes I remember my dad bought a car in bowling and we had to go over on the ferry the pillers for the Erskine bridge were being put up at the time

Congratulations, you've just made me feel very old. I left Bishopton as a teenager in 1975 and I can remember the days when Erskine was farmland and you had to queue for a ferry to cross the river. Things have change a bit since then.

Is there a date released for this ship to be in service again on loch lomond. Does anyone know. ?

Well Done Garry my friend and I did this a few years ago . we started at St Fillans and went antyclockwise . we were on mountain bikes . it was not as wet as you had it.

Hi Gary, I have only just discovered your channel, RUclips randomly presented one of your videos and I had a look. Happy I did because it appears we have a couple of things in common. I am approaching retirement and reckon we are similar in age, we both have small RUclips channels, we both like cycling and both own a drone 🙂 I have yet to get as much cycling content as I originally planned posted, its actually mostly myself and the dogs, but I have a 5 days of raw footage to get processed from a cycling trip and I just need to get my finger out and start editing. I also haven't really used the drone, I think developed a phobia about crashing it. Right now I appear to be the master of procrastination 😞 Discovering your channel has actually re-inspired me to just get the drone out and use it, if I crash I crash I guess but at least I will be learning. Anyway, I am away to watch more of your videos. Keep up the good work sir....and needles to say I have subscribed 👍

Great video, but please slow down around older people dogs and children in particular, and people in general, you will enjoy your cycling more if you are not so compulsive. Thanks for showing me the route , it looks awesome.

Nice video,i just stay along at the hurlet,i was on the cycle path at canal st last month when i went to lochwinnoch but its starting to get too dark in the mornings so ive joined the gym for the winter months 👍🚴🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
