The only problem is is you buy an x macro with a ported slide and you're paying a little over what you would pay just to buy the barrel the comp the back strap and the magwell to buy a whole gun to choose perfectly fine or you spend money on a gun and more money just to buy you a ported barrel and just it's seems ridiculous to me

Just buy the se , pull out the trigger pin so it drops out, remove the spring and small disk above. Then back out the screw and flip it over. Instant light crisp break and reset.

Brand name also factors - Springfield or Colt can add a couple hundred dollars with the long known history as opposed to Kimber who some new 1911 gun owners may not know about and has to put out better QC to compete at 1k price point because they not as known!

Why would you pay for something you don't need like a 3,000 $ 1911 when you can get a really good 1911 for much less.

My RIA 1911 'commander' mid-size has all the same features as that Springfield except its G10 tactical grips and being SS. Has never missed a beat, eats anything I've loaded into the GOOD magazines. Out the door was five c-notes-very happy with my first 1911 and its cost.

If you are in the USA and on 1 $200 tax stamp, you can buy and keep all the guns you could throw money at, it realy doesn't mather. In reality, like a friend of mine who owns about 25 pistols of which 12 are his favorite 1911, made an interesting remark. Of all 25 he only loves and uses/caries 5. A ruger mark4, a springfield 1911 (used to be his dad's), a bereta 9mm, a 2011 Wilson Combat and a 10mm Les Bear. The others are fun to have or shoot on ocasion at the range, but these 5 I will not part with, ever. To me as a EU citisen, we have to pay for every gun, every year. So having more than a trainer, ruger mk4 and lets say a Leas Bear in my flavor would be madness. Also you cannot carry this around even empty, no law permits this here. Over here it boils down to, you have money over the comming years for 1 gun, what will it be. This makes it so that you buy the best (also most expensive) piece you can fork out money for.

This is a good example of idiocy in california law. In order to purchase one of these in CA, you have to take the firearm safety certificate test which SPECIFICALLY REQUIRES you to understand and demonstrate that a semi-auto pistol can be loaded and fired with the magazine removed. Then they go ahead and require you to buy a semi-auto pistol that makes that previous requirement incorrect, useless, and potentially dangerous.The ability to fire with the magazine removed is a FEATURE and could save your life. Also, training people on a a pistol that is safe when the magazine is removed will surely instill some very bad habits in new shooters.

I actually bought all three of these triggers. I did not like the cmc. It had a lot of travel and was a gritty. The elf force my first choice, Until I. Used the rise. They all have a bit of travel and it's gritty. The roses clean No travel quick take up. For the money You just can't beat it. And it's a good. Three and a half pound trigger pull.

my brother loaned me new his Kimber rapide, put 100 rounds through it so far, it is a very sweet gun. and when i say new I mean new he only shot 8 rounds through it, so I am breaking her in.
