I HATED Making art (and how I taught myself to love it) | Painting Process
In this video I tell you the story of how I went from hating the process of making art, and finding it so so stressful, to absolutely LOVING it and having the time of my life while creating art!!! I share tips as to how I learned how to start having fun making art, and how others can as well! While I talk I am painting a loose painting of seabirds and a rocky landscape by the sea.

I made myself a challenge to use up all of my paint so that I can reward myself with a treat- such as more art supplies to try! I've been learning a ton by doing art regularly in my sketchbook, so I share some thoughts on that as well and some stories from my childhood, and what was going through my head during the p...
You are my art therapist!❤
Haha, I'm glad you enjoy it!! <3
Very relaxing watch, I love birds - especially corvids. I'd love to see your take on a more tropical scene. Cheers.
Thank you Vulporium!! I'm glad you enjoyed it! I love birds and corvids aswell! I like to wave at the crows that I see to say hi- but they usually just look confused. XP
I feel like many people experience this in different ways. People tend to do things just to pass the time even though they may not enjoy it, however, it allows them to explore things. It is important to take the next steps to get yourself involved deeper so you can find enjoyment and something you enjoy doing. Amazing art, and glad to hear you pushed yourself to find what you enjoy You definitely make it look very effortless with this paint method 😂11:00
I think you're right! Thank you, Superninja!! Haha, finger painting is my new secret weapon XD

hey diddle diddle, the cat and the fiddle, and the cow took the cat to the moon... she used her antigravity device, making her light as a baloon!
These Are Beautiful!
Thank you Keith!! I don't know why I didn't see this comment so long ago!!
I like that you can use severak. Like the cat put some brown streaks. They will disolve and blend interesting
yeah me too!! You can get some interesting textures with them for sure!
Great tutorial! So lovely to see your first try with these gorgeous “crayons “ loved your cat picture.❤
Thank you so much!! I'm glad you enjoyed it!! <3
I have the same feel on the dark brown. Just a not as nice feel that really steers me away from using it. Overall Neocolors are one of my fave mediums and I hope you enjoy them!
oh interesting to know I'm not the only one that noticed that about the dark brown! Yeah they've been really fun to play around with! I should probably look up some ideas of ways to use them or different techniques!
This is a very good video. I’m looking at water-soluble base/ mediums for fabrics. I want something that stays flexible. I’m seeing artist mix water soluble mediums with fabric medium to keep more flexibility.
oh interesting!! I hope you find something good for that! :)
I love your style! Subscribed!
Oh I'm glad you enjoy it!! Thank you! c:
Great tour! Loved the moth drawings and the paintings.
Thank you! <3 I'm glad you enjoyed them!! C:
I feel so seen! 😂My setup is also in the living room and I have the bin of miscellaneous stuff shoved under my desk xD Even my apartment blinds are the same lol Thanks for making this realistic video, I think so many feel like they need a full studio or mountains of supplies to create beautiful work.
That's awesome!! ^_^ I think you're right, people tend to think they need a perfect space for things, but ultimately a little space and a few things go a long way! C:
what kind of camera setup are you using?
I've been using my phone!! :)
@@SprightlyStudios and just hanging on to it? it looks really steady... i couldn't do that!
@@arielkalon No I have a phone tripod thing- with a very bendy stem that holds the phone and a clamp that clamps down on the desk! :)
love the polar bears!
I like the pet snail lady!!! She could be someone's Mom.
You could probably find some cool dishes at a thrift store!
yeah!! C: I should probably do that!
