Actually the only reason he didn’t dodge is because he was known for not dodging attacks at all, so when he dodged a attack previously they started saying he dodged the attack cause he knew it would hurt, and I guess he took that to heart because in a way he saw it as them calling him weak, so he decided not to dodge to the attack but instead take it head on like how he usually does
