I live an hour away from The Desert Door Distillery and I paid them a visit, the barrel-aged reminds me of a rye whiskey with an earthy grassy taste (in a good way). Overall, I love the product and I'm actively looking for other Sotol brands. Any spirit drinker should try this at least once.

I have tried it, twice, and I enjoy it.

Jefferson’s is higher end and always good I dislike the 100$ price tags but it doesn’t stop me from buying it

I got more dark chocolate on the mid. Got the leather on the back end. Enjoyed it a bit more with ice in it. A lot of ethanol on the front end

I bought a bottle before the Memorial Day weekend to bring to a neighborhood party (neighborhood full of serious bourbon lovers). It was a huge hit. I really enjoyed how you approached this enigmatic bourbon. I bought another bottle and probably should have bought more.

Wanted to appear sexy & knowledgeable when guests' see my bar.. lol I know..lol.,.anyway I watched a few reviews about Frank August, because they hit a homerun with the bottle, but they are keeping their cards close to the chest as you guys also stated when it comes to anything specific about the Bourban itself. It really doesn’t matter as long as it’s good. They probably have a non disclosure agreement that they can’t say where this is from. Happens all the time in this industry. And you can still find out with a bit of investigation. Being Kentucky it’s probably Barton or Bardstown. It really depends on what they do with it after they get it. They are obviously blending their small batch. My money is on Barton.

I’d love to see Lagavulin 16, Lagavulin Distiller’s Edition reviewed!!! Love Lagavulin and Ardbeg! Laphroaig ranks well behind these distillers. In Canada we pay a lot more. BizarreBQ is about$180 before tax but hey it’s worth every penny!! Terrific

This is a fabulous special release from Ardbeg. Thankfully! Their core line is amazing but their Special Release scotch expressions are hit and miss. This one is fabulous!

GD fan here... my store only has the #3 bottled in bond and the 15 year is i think 92 proof or something... i bought the blue bottle loved it but i get that mineral taste strong... thinking if i should spend $10 extra to try out the 92-94 proof 15 year next time i visit the store this week. THat being said so far from the dickels i tried my favorite is the cheap signature recipe (number 12) great value cheap whiskey. but i wana try the aged ones lately.
