You're kidding, right ? From the beginning of the series it was said that Accelerator was the strongest ESPER and not the strongest character in the entire series. He base would clash with saint level mages like Kanzaki and Accqua but would easily lose to Fiamma who had planetary level attacks. The author himself said that he had no plans to make Accelerator a relevant character after the Sisters arc, but because of his fandom, he made Accelerator a 2nd protagonist. So obviously he had to buff Accelerator so he can collide with the magic side. In short, his buffs are totally "plot armor" because the author never made him evolve as an Esper, but gave him magic. Accelerator should have died against Kihara Amata if Index hadn't shown up and Aleister hadn't injected telema into the misaka network to make Accelerator awaken his black wings and defeat Amata (power of friendship here lol). He also should have lost to Kakine if Mugino hadn't appeared with Talking no Jutsu and if the author hadn't made Kakine defeat himself. Accelerator acquired the Misaka Network, black wings that later became white, platinum wings, and magical knowledge with the Clonoth Tree. All of this was a gift from Aleister, he never achieved anything alone and that made him reach the top 10 strongest characters in the series, that should only have the magical side that manage to distort all reality in the blink of an eye. If we're only going to count Esper power, then Kakine surpassed Accelerator. Even because, by logic, the ability to create and manipulate non-existent matter is better than vector manipulation. And if I'm going to tell you which would be the most powerful Esper power, then it would be Taktsubo Riko's, after all, his power consists of manipulating AIM. The Esper's source of energy comes from their minds, something they force to believe becomes real. This is called the AIM field, which would be the personal reality of an Esper, that is, the Esper power revolves around the Esper itself and he can only use it around himself. Since Taktsubo can manipulate AIM, she could turn a level 0 into a level 5 or simply turn a level 5 into a level 0 . Accelerator's vector manipulation wouldn't stand a chance against it.

Aleister not a Science side member. anyway based on powers He not an esper so not on the Science side power wise(I know that he is chairman + kind of a leader of Science side but he doesn't use those powers himself and didn't inject himself with it) Touma counts as Science side only cuz he is an esper(lvl 0 tho)

It all only exists because you wished it to.” the phrasing is exactly how Esper powers work, it is manifestation of their own worlds and wishes, the kanji used for "creation/birth" is same as "AIM Crystal";s too and it is commonly accepted theory at this point(borderline confirmed even) that Touma's dragon shell and KnT in NT22R is his esper powers. i don't think it is fully confirmed tho.

Plus, Touma lost countless times before. He lost to Kanzaki, Tsuchimikado, Acqua, Anna, Aiwass, Othinus, etc. Hell, if it wasnt for outside help, he probably lost to Fiamma and Vento.

In my opinion, if Touma and Accel duke it out again, Touma will still have more chance of winning, due to Accel not even knowing that Touma has another overwhelming power. So he really, dont have any counter to the IT and The Dragons. But on the other hand, Accel took a lot of people Touma probably cant, Coronzon for example. So I think current Touma is stronger than Accel, but Accel can took people Touma cant beat.

tell you bullshit touma and very far from being a harem protagonist, read the novels instead of the anime accelerator and very far from being more powerful than touma, whether those physically or not touma and more powerful than him. .. and he has a lot faster than him accelerator could do nothing or do anything because everyone especially if he turns into a dragon.

Hamuzura is good at improvising with the things around him but if you put him in a room with absolutely nothing in it and match him against almost anyone on this list he would lose.

Tsuchimikado makes sense if you count him as a magic character and hamazura is a problem cause of luck and the resources around him

Aliester, Aiwass, Noukan and most of the NT4 Kiharas were dismissed as a honorable mention.... So I dont think its that indicative that Hama and Tsuchi were dismissed

jump forcegod yup, but I was referring to a different fight with misaka which touma wasn’t there, gunha had managed to catch misaka’s railgun with his teeth. But yea that fight doesn’t showcase his true power since they were holding back, but hey, at least we know he can break out of mental out.

There are so many level 4s that are showing up with the output of a level 5 but not an actual candidate. Maidono & the rasengan girls for example. I also took the timeline in consideration and I think the only one that is going to make the cut is takitsubo. The top 28 - 12 (excluding the multi-skill users) are all high tier level 4s and some placements could go either way.
