@@michaelzukowski5541 most of all our stuff is nj. Except the big salmon. Those are ny
Been tuning in for a while, yall have got me more into lake fishing in NJ since round valley is so close to me! Keep em coming!
@@downonefindone thanks for tuning in! We fished there this weekend and made some posts about it on fb and ig
Looking forward to getting up north middle of next month! Last time I was up we argued with the DSR and won! Nobody does nothing wrong just called out BS that was happening with the one guy. As far as the FFS goes it’s kinda like baiting deer if it’s legal and it helps than why not
Where is this ?
@@workingclassdog3 ask andy
Not as spectacular as the plunge he took with me🤣
@@Huge4Fish film it next time
Forward facing sonar my not be cheating but it surely gives an advantage. I personally am not interested in it. I like to use my past experince of where these fish might be and catch them that way. It's more fun that way but I am not fishing tournaments where money is on the line not just a good day on the water!
@burningredsun can argue its a good learning tool to confirm where you think fish are though too.... whether you can get them to bite or not is another thing all together
What a horrible way to catch fish🤣🤦♂️😉
@@Huge4Fish eh... theyre just trout
Get my mispronounced name out of you mouth.
@@Huge4Fish come on and make us
Chris in baseball they ban aluminum bats because it isn’t sporting. In golf they ban certain equipment. The people that want FFS fishing banned don’t think it is real fishing. That simple. Professionals hold them self to a higher standard and know what really separates anglers.
@Huge4Fish ive fished with guys using it and it doesnt seem like that much of a game changer. And if you then say its because they dont know how to use it right and it takes practice to master it wouldnt that then mean it is still "sporting"?
@@NJmultispecies depends on lake. Game changer on the Watersheds and somewhere like MC.
@@Huge4Fish your pretty famous
This FFS discussion is not what people are debating about. Joe Hopatcong is not a FFS lake. Taylor is a great fisherman but I don’t think he quite understands how good it is on smallmouth lakes. The really good guys watch every fish eat their baits on FFS…not simply use it to find grass beds and baits.
@@Huge4Fish its just a regular ff pointed outwards give me a brwak
I think once you get to a certain length class of SMB and LMB (or really any fish), it makes sense to start weighing them. Im not a bass angler but we catch some large ones up in NY and catching multiple 19+ inchers is common on trips there. We take note that some of the heavier fish in that 18-19 inch class are more impressive than some others that break 20 inches. Some long old fish at 21 inches is great but some 18 inchers with some seriously stacked shoulders are just as cool. Bass being pretty easy to weigh are nice too. Otherwise most other species we go by length because we typically havent even hit their maximum length yet. Trout, pike, etc. - It's a good idea to divert the FFS scope away from a fish once you know you have one. At the same time it can be pretty useful to see the lure get to the fish and the fish's reaction. We still get fish to bite while scoping them down. It's hard to say there's fish out there that would have bit if we didnt keep the scope on them. - Good episode!

Really interesting to interview both a social media veteran in Joe Cermele and a newcomer in Pete G. and to see their perspectives. I followed Hook Shots when I was still active on Facebook and appreciated the authentic, low-budget style presentation. Best of luck to Pete G., I hope he takes off. Live Bait is for chumps.....:)
@@Huge4Fish the fact of the matter seems to be that the best multi species anglers all use live bait at times.
Awesome episode as always! Outside of bow hunting on the side been getting ready for salmon and fall trout. Love fishing the TCA in the fall for trout an I ordered a bunch of death roe beads cause I primarily centerpin fish for trout and to my surprise I didn’t know they was scented lol
@UplanderExperience1998 i think that rule is more to stop actual live bait and specifically artificial dough baits like powerbait, but yeah the way its worded sucks.
