All of my playlists will be centered around my former job as Adjunct Mathematics Instructor at a community college. Currently I am teaching high school mathematics from 8th grade through AP Calculus. I promise my students that when they are ready to learn, I will always be there to help them.

Dude you saved me so much damn time on my assignements with 2:40 ---For fellow students that want a ti 83 plus to calculate exponents of i; follow his steps, then re-enter the i (to the exponent of your problem).
Just be careful. If the exponents are too high - ~100+ I think IIRC - you will get rounding errors in the algorithm causing numbers such as 0.99999325 + 1.533E-12i. This number is really saying 1+0i or 1.

@@philaciousnessicity Aw. Thank you. I am glad to have found out before I got upset that my programs were gone. Speaking of programs, I have 2 that I tried to program & they aren't working well. I also have one that appears to work, but I have no idea of the purpose of the program. Is there somewhere we can talk privately {I have FaceBook Messenger}, so I can type in the program & you can try to tell me why the programs don't work & what the unknown program does?

I am 53, in college, and had no clue how to use my graphing calculator. After watching this video, I was like “Where have you been all my life!), great tutorial and I love that you provided a pdf instruction that I printed out. Thanks for making my life easier.

I hope there are still people reading & answering questions here. How do I ask [3X^2 + 12X - 12 = X^2 - 4X + 4] True or False?
Enter it exactly like that. Be sure to use the test menu for the equality. Then store I would say five different prime numbers in for x using the ”STO" command. If all five turn out to be true it's a reasonable assurance but not a proof.

@@stevenscottoddballz 2nd key then "math" button 2 down from that. I believe first menu is the relation menu.
You saved me so much time and frustration! FYI-This method worked using my "Texas Instruments TI-30XIIS" calculator! Without having to "set correct mode" thank goodness🤜🏼🤛🏽

Great instructions! I'm old school Kat taking math. I've tried my best to dance around it but now I have to take it to complete a BA in General Studies. This was very helpful as I refresh my mind on using the TI. Do you also do Algebra tutorial videos Philaciousnessicity?
Glad I could help. There are several videos covering various topics throughout lower undergrad algebra. There are some Calculus ones as well, but some of them are awful. I just haven't taken the time to remove those. You are welcome to check those out. To be honest, I don't tend to use the calculators much anymore. The TI's are either too powerful or not powerful enough. I'd rather a scientific and a computer program like Octave or Mathematica.

Is there a way to do for example the square root of 12 and instead of getting the decimal get the 2squareroot3?
It's possible that someone out there has written a program for it to reduce radicals, but I haven't seen it. That function is usually built into the newer calculators. To be honest these things were new about the time I was in high school and I'm 43 now.

@@erikbrowning5997 Most that view my videos need more explanation. Quicker ways are already available on Wikipedia (and elsewhere), a resource I use extensively just for that purpose. I appreciate your review however.
Great explanation! Another fun fact is that, when checking the answer by making the calculation, the value on both sides equals the Y value of the graph intersection. So both results are shown in the graph to check afterwards:)
